Internet pranksters are trolling presidential-hopeful Donald Trump by leaving bad reviews for the McDonald's he briefly worked at during a photo opportunity on Sunday.

The Republican candidate put in a short shift on the fries station and in the drive-thru window at restaurant in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania. But the move seems to have riled some online jokers, who have since targeted the venue with reviews mocking Trump's performance.

One reviewer, Karen S, gave a one-star review, writing: "Customer service was a joke. Senile old man got bronzer on my fries, didn't wear gloves."

If he's going to lie about working a McDonald's, I don't blame people for lying about the (non-existant) service.

A photo-op in a closed McDonald's isn't a "job," Donny. Though, since you've never had one, I can understand how you failed to make the distinction.

Feel free to let MCDs know how this franchise stunt makes you feel: https://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en-us/feedback.html

Sure why not. Submitted.

What's the store number? Anyone know?

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 50 points 3 weeks ago

Lol fucking classic. Well deserved. Fuck this franchise owner as well. They deserve all the bad press.

Is this a narcissism thing? The lies and acting are comically bad. It's mindboggling that he would pose with fries handed to him, served to no actual paying customer, and proceed to speak as if he now has proper experience among the working class.

And that's all because they're convinced Kamala lied about working at McDonald's, because she didn't include the job she worked as a teenager in a later resume (because nobody puts their summer jobs on there).

[–] SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world 33 points 3 weeks ago

"Worked" is not accurate. "Stopped at for a staged photo-op" would be.

[–] Album@lemmy.ca 30 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

The first real job this loser has ever had

[–] davidgro@lemmy.world 28 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Definitely not. That count is still zero, and very firmly so.

The store wasn't even open while he was there.

[–] adespoton@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

If it had been, it would have been multiple health and employment violations.

[–] Soulg@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 weeks ago

That store failed its health inspection already, so more of the same.

[–] CaptPretentious@lemmy.world 29 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

I love how he said "Kamala, she said it's so hot" in a condescending tone.

As a former employee (few decades ago), who worked every shift and every non-manager position, the fry station is the hottest station to work at in my opinion. I could work the grill all day, but I'd be dying at fries. Would love to see him do a full 8-hour shift.

Also he's out of uniform. And he's a non-employee so he shouldn't be back there working with food.

[–] bizzle@lemmy.world 7 points 3 weeks ago

I make fries just at home even and it's brutal I couldn't even imagine doing it in a commercial kitchen

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 weeks ago

I don't see a crew chief running an SoC on that station. Did he use the patented hammer-like motion to salt the quardapunbers?

[–] ThePyroPython@lemmy.world 27 points 3 weeks ago

Don't you think he looks tired.

🎵He got that ambition baby— look at his eyes— This week he mopping floors, next week it’s the fries.

Now I’m not saying he a gold digger, but he usin’ Elon to buy the vote da’ vote…🎵

There was ketchup dripping down the wall…

[–] WrenFeathers@lemmy.world 10 points 3 weeks ago

.. briefly “worked” at.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 9 points 3 weeks ago

He's working for 15 minutes so that he can now legally retire.

[–] skozzii@lemmy.ca 9 points 3 weeks ago

I knew it wasn't real because mcdonald's wouldn't hire or let someone with 34 felonies work in their restaurant.

[–] Jerb322@lemmy.world 8 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

This is so funny how this stunt is blowing up in his face! Wonder who's getting "Fired" for the idea? Prank reviews, failed last health insinspection, store was actually closed....what's next?

[–] theterrasque@infosec.pub 9 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Blowing up? Seen conservative discussion areas? Their godking is not only one of the working class now, but he owned all the democrats and made Harris look like a fool. He's a master troll doing 4d chess!

[–] havocpants@lemm.ee 3 points 3 weeks ago

Ah, the pigeon chess approach, not surprised really.

[–] Grandwolf319@sh.itjust.works 7 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Am I the only one who just liked how the orange color fits him?

So much good meme potential…

[–] don@lemm.ee 4 points 3 weeks ago

McTrumpald’s stock price has taken a bit of a hit, it seems. Down by a little over 2$ today. Should start to see the cons try to rally pretty soon, I’d guess.

[–] lemmylommy@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

What is a „short shift“ in minutes?

[–] kamenlady@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

For everyone: 480 minutes

For Trump: 15 minutes

Nice, brilliant! They will get taken down eventually - as they are genuine fake reviews.

Newsweek has emailed Harris' campaign team for a response to Trump's allegation that she fabricated her old summer job.

Still? They're still pushing this?

After all this time, the only gov't agency that still has records from that long ago is the SSA, and it takes a minimum of six months to pull them down (and likely would take a year or two). So we're not likely to get any updates until long after the election is over. Maybe in time for the 2028 campaigns.
