He hasn't even played double digit games yet. Calm down.
Admittedly his outlook currently doesn't look promising but let's at least pretend to be patient.

This is absurdly ridiculous.
To me he 100% is. He has been one of the 3 worst QBs in the league
He is also 5'6 and 165 lbs and has 0 arm talent
He was carried at Alabama
Can't be carried in the NFL
It’s been what 12 weeks and all he has is Thieln as his wideout. With a coaching staff that seems to be a miss. They changing play callers every few weeks.
Yes
TL;DR: Maybe
Expectations for rookies to perform immediately are too high. I know it’s fun to see guys like Stroud light it up but that’s the exception. Gotta give these guys more time to develop before putting them in the bust discussion, especially when they’re on a broken offense.
While he hasn't been good, the standard rule of headlines is that if the headline is a question, the answer is "no".
So he is legally not a bust.
Nah, but his current team is
yes.
name one plus physical attribute bryce young has for an nfl quarterback, let alone a 1st overall franchise qb.
body/size, arm talent, legs, footwork, he’s lacking in every single one.
time, coaching, and supporting cast won’t change that.
Trevor Lawrence was equally as bad, Jared Goff was even worse, Peyton Manning threw 28 interceptions and won 3 games.
What a clickbait article
Three things are true:
Not yet, but it's trending that way
His projection had massive holes in his game that everybody somehow just ignored
His best WR is Adam Thielen maybe we give him more than 10 games
Honest question. Is it him or is it his situation?
If Bryce was in Houston and Stroud was in Carolina, would the result follow the player or the team? That's the mystery of the NFL.
No
Nah.
I think he'll look like Tua next season. But his arm is at most "average".
...and I think you'll see Stroud come back to earth and look sus next season.
Is Betteridge a bust?
No, the Panthers just suck.
jesus stop
Definitely think it’s still kinda early to say. Needs to get some help on the line and a true #1 WR.
Would be nice if they had a more consistent run game. Oh and the problem may be Reich too
he hasn't even finished his first season yet for fuck's sake
Tell your mother that you are grounded from reddit for posting this trash question.
As someone who didn’t think he’d amount to anything at all: it’s been half a season on a dogshit team. Give the dude until the end of his rookie deal to pass judgement
There were a million people asking the same about Lawerence after his rookie year. No one is asking that now
It’s still too early and the team around him is so bad it’s hard to honestly know how good he can be.
I don’t think there are many QB’s in the NFL that would do well with that offense. He’s in a terrible situation. The situation he’s in is why guys like Eli Manning, and John Elway did what they did.
it’s been 10 games
Not yet, but I would put money on him busting.
He is one of the most physically unimpressive NFL players I have ever seen, with a noodle arm and basic athleticism.
That supercomputer brain better get going....
Bro how have we managed to get to a point where we’re putting labels on every rookie QB before they’ve even played double digit games yet? Sports media is a circus
Why we even bothering with a question like this when he hasn't even completed his rookie season
no. how many incredible QBs took a couple years? it’s the hardest job in football and he was thrown into a terrible situation. (never seen that before..) if things are still bad next year at this time we can have that conversation.
Anyone who declares “bust” for a rookie after 12 games can be disregarded pretty comfortably in my book.
I think he legit needs to sit and watch and get reset for 2024. His OL and skill players around him are shit and he has no trust in anyone other than Thielen. Build the offense around him this offseason and he'll look much better in 2024.
Alternately, is CJ Stroud Tom Brady?
You absolutely cannot call Bryce Young a bust at this point. He is disappointing and on the bust trajectory, but it is way too early to call him a bust. I think he is if nothing else adding on to the list of cautionary tales for drafting a premium rookie QB before you have the supporting cast for him.
can we stop labeling QBs busts while they are still a fucking rookie?
Holy fuck we're a few weeks into his rookie year with abysmal coaching and roster composition.
If Carolina gets him decent protection and receivers and he still looks like this? Then you can start waving red flags.
No, people are just less patient now more than ever.
This is stupid lmao. Chill!!!
I think the whole team is a bust. That's the issue with the top QB's, they are usually with trainwreck teams so it's hard to get over the hump. I'd rather my son be the 21st pick than the 1st pick to be honest.
He's an Alabama qb. Not many of them have done much, ever. A lot of their offensive talent has always bullied college, then become very mediocre in the NFL.
Too soon to say for sure, but it doesn’t look good so far.
Troy aikman was 0-11 his first year in 1989 with 155/293 att for 1749 yds 9td-18int so no Bryce Young isn't a bust based on his rookie debut
Its been half a season. Come on man.
Through first 8 games of career...
Josh Allen - 1223 yards, 5 TD, 7 INT
Trevor Lawrence - 1821 yards, 8 TD, 9 INT
Peyton Manning - 1873 yards, 11 TD, 16 INT
Matt Stafford - 1911 yards, 11 TD, 14 INT
Jared Goff - 1395 yards, 6 TD, 7 INT
Bryce Young - 1560 yards, 8 TD, 7 INT
who is that one win left on Carolinas schedule though? Better be talking about the Falcons
He’s a rookie, can we chilll out?
Frank Reich and the Panthers. Dude is being handicapped from the jump
Not yet
What a ridiculous knee-jerk question. I'm not even clicking to see if they say the obvious "No, it's way too early to discuss him being a bust" because why give click bait the ad revenue?
