Duncan has really stepped up with Herro injured, and seems to have his shooting confidence back. Not to mention, his handle and finishing at the rim has noticeably improved.

His full season averages: 15.1/2.7/2.7 on 48/43/90 splits in 14 games

Herro is sweating a bit right now

and

I already can see Duncan becomes the ECF MVP 6 month later

Nah Herro was averaging 26/6/5 before injury. Lowry is averaging 7/4/5 playing starters minutes, he’s the one who’s gonna see his role reduced.

It's pretty crazy that 2 years ago his contract was considered an unmovable albatross, and it's increasingly looking like a bargain.

This guy with one of the most amazing comebacks I've ever seen.

We all remember how he didn't hit anything, how he was out of rotation for so long.

[–] Youngandidiotic@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Now let’s hope Poole is going to have his next!

[–] GiveMeShadePls@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

His comeback started last postseason tbh, he cooked the Bucks and Celtics

[–] Repostbot3784@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He got way better since back then.

Probably won’t happen, but I’d love him to get in the mix for Most Improved Player if he keeps this production up.

[–] joshdej@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hard to believe he used to be a guy that didn't have any business dribbling inside the three point line

[–] rapelbaum@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Shooters don’t forget how to shoot

Happy Birthday Duncan 🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂🎂

Those are the stats of a man whose coaches sent him to a sports psychologist last season

Apparently Kevin Love has made a point of sitting next to him during travel and talking with him a ton, which Duncan says has been a huge help to him mentally.

Any source, interested in reading about it.

Stuff like this makes me happy to hear. In a similar vein Raptor staff and vets like Garett Temple and Thad Young have been sitting and encouraging Malachi Flynn on the bench and he's having the best season of his career now. I think Nick Nurse is a great coach but he can be a bit of an asshole and I don't think he was as good at the emotional part of being a coach

This is such an underrated part of the value that quality veterans bring

He increased his trade value. Zach LaVine is coming to South Beach!

[–] SoKrat3s@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

you can't approach the topic of trading Duncan Robinson for anyone in a pro-Heat thread.

[–] msizzle344@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Are the bulls sending 3 first rounders and Zach for Duncan?

[–] DNP__Rest@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

He's so good. People shit on the Heats trade prospects so badly. There's a reason they've been to the finals twice

[–] Muted_Dog7317@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Herro was averaging 26/6/5 with improved defense before getting injured, Duncan is averaging 15/3/3 on 65% TS, and Jaquez is averaging 10/3/2 on over 50% while playing great defense.

Yet those guys were called garbage all offseason

[–] EnochofPottsfield@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

In fairness, every prospect that leaves Miami doesn't replicate the same success lmao

But yeah. Love seeing Portland and everyone else eat crow. Let's get Jimmy his ring 🙏

Duncan 'crumpled up bag of chips' AKA 'half eaten subway sandwich' AKA 'trash asset #3' Robinson

[–] jumboponcho@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Him and Bam DHOs killed the bubble and they’re back at it again

[–] realudonishaslem@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I am now 100% certain that Duncan’s slump in last two seasons was primarily due to Max Strus’ emergence.

Both guys had a nearly identical role and playing style , and Max played better defense, despite not shooting as well as Duncan. So Spo started utilizing Max more, which naturally reduced Duncan’s minutes, and simultaneously his confidence. But now that Max is gone, Duncan can play in his role again and he’s now back to himself.

On top of that, Duncan dramatically improved his inside-the arc game. He’s cutting to the basket a lot more, pump faking and driving to the rim. He’s definitely not a one-dimensional player on offense anymore, though his greatest strength still comes from 3PT shooting.

Can’t believe you losers doubted the godfather

[–] prefontaine76@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I wonder if he got over being called Jimmy Neutron by the lakers in the bubble.

[–] Julen_23@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Fantasy Gold, ableit prolly short term .. .

[–] Dame2Miami@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Duncan > Dunkin

He’s unleashed on offense, Duncan “The Slasher” Robinson is for real. His arsenal is everything.

[–] Dame2Miami@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

He’s been on another level since the hand surgery… maybe some rookie of the year movie shit going on lol

[–] n0th1ng10@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Damn idk if he keeps this up but if he does ge could be an all star
