You can choose which part you want, however where exactly is random based on the birth rate (if a region has a higher birth rate it is more likely that you are born there). What part would you choose and why?

K - might as well guarantee a first world country.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 17 points 6 days ago (1 children)

It's not guaranteed you'll be a Kiwi.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Do you have something against Australia, lol?

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 16 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Nah. Those cunts know a joke when they see it.

If you don't choose K, it's your loss

K is clearly the best, but E is underrated. Some highly developed countries there, just have to hope you won't get Myanmar.

[–] NIB@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Cambodia isnt great either. With B, you can always move to a decent part of Mexico.

I like G. I've always wanted to be a deep sea creature.

[–] Ibuthyr@lemmy.wtf 15 points 6 days ago

Imma go with K.

[–] Aetherion@lemmy.world 15 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Clearly G, so that I die instantly while not beeing able to cognitivly know what's happening, so I don't see this dumb timeline of humanity.

[–] BastingChemina@slrpnk.net 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

I think French Polynesia is in G, not the worst option.

People around here seem so scared of south america. It's mostly a nice place to live.

The levels of inequality are like nothing in the developed world, and you're probably not going to be one of the rich people.

Maybe you can be safe, but you're gong to have limited opportunity. Same story as part E really.

K. Australia seems cool.

I feel like D is a good ch- OH

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (3 children)

North Iraq is pretty decent ngl. Lived there for a few years. Would still chose C and gamble for a Nordic country tho.

[–] DeathByBigSad@sh.itjust.works 3 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Reminder that your experience as a foreigner is not the same as those born there, particularly if you are a white male with citizenship in a western country, you usually can get away with a lot of trouble that you wouldn't otherwise have if you were a local. (Because they'd want to avoid causing an international incident)

[–] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

I am Kurdish and was a citizen there.

But you are completely correct, I did often hear tourists get away with a lot.

[–] VinnyDaCat@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago

where exactly is random based on the birth rate (if a region has a higher birth rate it is more likely that you are born there)

Even if this wasn't included I was already thinking of this. A, C and I all seem like they have rather good odds at putting you somewhere in Africa.

[–] callyral@pawb.social 3 points 6 days ago

K > B > F > A > H > E in order of best to worst in my opinion.

I wouldn't really consider the others

[–] sharkfucker420@lemmy.ml 4 points 6 days ago (2 children)

Well considering my political proclivities E is a pretty solid choice. Just praying I don't get myanmar or Cambodia

B and hope I get a Central America spawn.

[–] Fenrisulfir@lemmy.ca 7 points 6 days ago (1 children)
[–] Vupware@lemmy.zip 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Sorry I didn’t pay enough attention. Central America isn’t even a possibility. I’ll just abstain from voting, as I don’t have much of an interest in going anywhere else atp.

[–] roscoe@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

The way I'm reading it, A would be the whole quadrant and B would just be that specific stripe. I don't know if A includes B, or excludes it though. I also can't tell if the stripes are just that specific box, or the entirety of the countries that fall partway in the box; is B just that rectangle or all of the U.S., Canada, and Mexico?

"A" would be your pick, but the odds aren't great.

Probably:

K>B>H>E>G. They all have decently developed countries whilst ensuring that you don't end up born in a developing country.

For the big slices, F should be best (guaranteed to avoid the worst outcomes).

[–] syreus@lemmy.world 4 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Born in Antartica would be a neat second playthrough. Polar bears are hella scary but I would definitely boop the nose before I go down.
