Kirk was a state terrorist who called for people to get shot because it protects gun nutjobs.
He also said empathy is for the weak. I'm returning the favour by not having empathy for him but having it for others.
Literally just a fucking nazi. Good riddance.

Kirk said the “biblical model” for women to pursue in romantic relationships is a partner who is “a protector and a leader, and deep down, a vast majority of you agree.” And during a question and answer session on day three, Kirk told the audience to “make yourself presentable” to attract a man. His advice was to join a church, befriend the pastor’s wife, and “hold yourself to a high standard” including by waiting to have sex until marriage, which is “something that some women struggle with.”

This. Right here. This quote. I suggest his family make his tombstone out of stainless steel so they can easily pressure wash away the marker pens of people scrawling these words across it.

I think, in the long run, Kirk's legacy will be his assassination and it's contribution to the season of assassination now unfolding. (The two failed Trump assassinations, the UnitedHealth assassination, and now Kirk).
Beyond that, he was an agitator and a grifter. I have the same empathy towards him and the people around him as he had towards school shooting survivors, Palestinians, and etc. It's what he would have wanted.

Kirk was a fascist activist, propagandist, and organizer. He was as much "just a content creator" as Goebbels.
His legacy is organizing to bring white supremacist anti-lgbtqia+ rhetoric more mainstream via the Republican party. He organized to oppress people.

I’m not American, and the only exposure to him that I had the misfortune of coming across was him saying that he’s anti-abortion, even for child victims of sexual abuse. It’s horrible enough to force a grown woman to carry a pregnancy against her will, but a little girl that’s been raped?? That’s indescribably heinous.
The funny thing is, if her family is wealthy, they’ll just take care of it. It’s poor and brown/Black girls they want to keep barefoot and pregnant. It’s not about oppressing girls — that’s just a side effect they’re glad for. It’s about maintaining the class divide.

A very strong reminder to all mid level right wing mouth pieces that they are all expendable. That they can be sent to the public to sow devision but not have the protection from the dangers they create .... or at the most extreme be martyred by their own followers and leaders to push their agenda.
I'll never trust America to tell me the truth about any major public event like this .... this is the same country that murdered their own president for their dumb right wing agenda and got away with it.

His legacy will be Irony. He died of the gun violence that he blithely normalized, and since he openly disparaged and dismissed the concept of empathy, he received none.
Who the fuck cares?
I think the reason why this may be something you're wondering about is because we have given podcasters a larger influence in recent years. Not to say that's bad, but it's new.
Personally, I don't consider podcasters or YouTubers, etc., trustworthy sources of information or honest dialog. I'm not sure that's something that even exists anyway now.
There's a much larger conversation to be had about where we spend our time and give our attention and why. The real news is boring so we turn to salacious clickbait that we often know has a bias to it. The more time we hand our emotions over to this content, then more it becomes part of our psyche. Sometimes we don't have a choice but I still know a ton of people who are entirely clueless about politics. So, some people are making choices, for better or worse.
I see Kirk's legacy the same as Rogan's and Trump's. These people are a reflection of our times. Something is very wrong in our world today and we've spent the last twenty five years shifting, metaphorically, from CBS Evening News to The National Enquirer.
This is the result of great freedom: a wild storm of ideas with equal opportunity to be expressed and heard. Not something that existed before the internet or having instant world wide communications in your hand or selling your information in order to maintain your attention with biased (mis/dis)information.
