I know mine's frowned upon but for me its the Sony XM3/4. They fit perfectly on my head and dont feel to heavy, apart from the sound I think its a great headphone. Anyways what's your most comfortable headphone you have ever worn?

Sennheiser HD598 and Philips Fidelio X3, both very comfy. Second place for Beyerdynamic DT700 Pro X.

Easy...the Sony IER Z1Rs!

[–] Phil_D_Snutz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My Dan Clark Aeon 2 Noire by a long shot. Wear any other headphone for a while then put on the Noire and it feels like pillows caressing your ears.

Sennheiser HD 560S.

Fidelio X2HR and its not even close. My daily is Beyer Pro X but can’t beat the comfort of the X2HR. So light, tons of space in the cup and the headband places the headphones just perfectly. I really want to try some HD599’s though, I’ve heard their comfort is just unmatched.

Still my Sony XM2. I now have H95s and PX8s, but for comfort nothing beats the Sony XM series.

[–] RB181@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Sennheiser HD 560S, which is also one of the best sounding headphones I have heard (for the price and otherwise).

Other HD 5-- series fit the same but don't sound quite as good (IMO), and similarly for the HD 6-- series.

Focal Clears (original version in my case) - light and fluffy. ^^

Meze 109 Pros. I wear these 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Perfect clamp, no heat, and soft pads.

Loving the way the X2HR feels, I can wear it for hours at the time

German Maestro GMP400. Almost no pressure on the ears due to the kardamatic hanging of the earcups

[–] The117thCon@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My worn in pair of AKG K712s the stock pads worn in plus the super low pressure, they're just the best set I have.

598 SE open back, had them 12 years with one refoam kit

109 Pro…by far

[–] berbyderp@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

My Bose QC25 are ridiculously comfortable. Nothing else comes close.

But amongst audiophile headphones, my Susvara are the most comfy. I think I could wear them the longest.

Hifiman HE1000v2 / Edition X V2

[–] Saatana_official@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

HEX v2 are the first headphones that I can wear for hours with eyeglasses. There is absolutely no uncomfortable pressure to earpieces of eyeglasses.

That i own, either the SHP9500s or the Fostex TH-900.

That i dont own, Meze Empyrean

[–] Bingturong@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Stax SR-Lambda, extraordinarily light

[–] razvanciuy@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Bang & olufsens for me. Have the H4s and Portal, light and round cup, low heat retention, nice snug and all that. Really resilient cans too, i’m very destructive. The Sonys XM4s are bit to tight and the ear pads fail every few months (mostly cause of 1 ear removal to hear & amazon pads are thicker=tight snug & hot). B&O lamb leather is really nicezz.

Dt900 pro x, I see a lot of comments for 990s 770s 880s etc. the 900s are in much more comfortable

I have freakishly long earlobes.

Audeze headphones were the only one that fit me without crashing my earlobes.

They are heavy, but the weight distribution, soft padding and clamp force makes it the most comfortable headphone I used.

[–] Rick-710@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

All I have is the 560S so that's my answer

[–] Panda_red_Sky@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

shp9500, that shit isn't even weight at all

[–] InternationalClerk85@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Those Sony's are damn popular where I live... although the Airpods Max is slowly taking it's place, somehow...

The most comfortable headphones I have worn is the Audeze LCD 1C, the one I own now. It is pretty heavy, but sits perfectly. The ones close to that are the Creative Fatal1ty from Sound Blaster and the Audio Technica AD900x, all of which I owned (I still own the AD900x).

From the few I have tried, but don't own, Astro A50 and Sennheiser HD800.

[–] Jordzy2j@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Seriously? The only reason I didn't return my XM4s was due to a custom mod I added.

They get extremely hot and uncomfortable.

[–] solidtitanium@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Beyer DT 990

[–] RashAttack@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Senheiser HD598 were like clouds on my ears. Nothing came close since

[–] fucking_hero@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

When I first got my HD800s, they hurt the top of my head due to my head shape. I got used to it after a week or so and now every other headphone feels like i'm wearing a bench vise.

So, I'll have to go with HD800s.

[–] xdamm777@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

HD800S. Spacious, light, almost zero clamp force and they never feel stuffy and hot during summer like most other headphones I’ve worn.

My only problem with them is the ear pads make a slight squeaky noise with my glasses when I take out them on and it’s annoying.

[–] SpiritualState01@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Does it have velour pads? Whatever that is.

[–] dankmemedaddy2@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Definitely my HD 6xx. The SHP9500 and momentum 4s tied for second.

[–] Reddit-sux2023@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hd 600 series

[–] i2apier@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

Hands down Yuin PK(2) for me. My daily sleep buds

[–] johnkz@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago
[–] RomHook@alien.top 1 points 2 years ago

I know that earbuds are being frowned upon (the ones that aren't IEMs) but that's the only headphones that I can wear and forget about. The ones I'm using are NiceHCK YD30 with little silicone cushions. On top of that the sound is good enough to enjoy music.
