Game analysis, highlights and everything else that is happening in the NBA.
Cade doesn't even make it past the 1st round. Anthony Bennett 2.0
Sct Brn #1
Barnes/Wagner/Sengun/Mobley/Cunningham
The 2021 draft was only 2 years ago. We still have no idea who is gonna be one of the next top players in this league but it is deep from a role player standpoint. A lot of players seem to be decent.
- Cade Cunningham
- Evan Mobley
- Jalen Green
- Franz Wagner
- Scottie Barnes
- Franz
- Scottie Barnes
- Evan Mobley
- Alperun Sengun
- Jalen Green
cam thomas over every1
Gonna go down as the draft of 2nd and 3rd options
I don’t know but I do know Suggs is playing himself at worst as a top 10 pick
- Sengun
- Barnes
- Mobley
- Wagner
- Green
This is a draft that was really strong at first but has fallen off a bit. It's only year 3 so it's only going to get better, but some of the players that felt like budding superstars haven't had that development yet.
- Cade Cunningham : slightly disappointing
- Jalen Green : slightly disappointing
- Evan Mobley : Hit
- Scottie Barnes : Hit
- Jalen Suggs : disappointing (turning it around lately?)
- Josh Giddey : Karl Malone
- Jonathan Kuminga : disappointing
- Franz Wagner: steal
- Davion Mitchell : disappointing
- Ziare Williams : solid? (haven't seen any grizzlies games this year)
- James Bouknight : bust
- Joshua Primo : bust + weirdo
- Christ Duarte : solid
- Moses Moody : solid
- Corey Kispert : solid
- Alperen Sengun : steal
- Trey Murphy III : solid
- Tre Mann : Miss (?)
- Kai Jones : Bust
- Jalen Johnson : Hit
As for top 5, I'd say
-
Wagner
-
Sengun
-
Barnes
-
Mobley
-
Cunningham/Green
Putting Duarte and Murphy in the same category is laughable and makes the rest of your list worthless.
Suggs is playing absolutely solid right now. He’s playing exactly how he was envisioned when he was drafted and even the efficiency seems to be coming along (57% TS)
Suggs hasn’t even been that disappointing, he started being impactful last season & you could really see the trajectory he’s on now.
The shooting leap if it sticks around was a little surprising but he’s going to be a star.
He was actually shooting very well after the old star break last season, he was shooting 36 percent from 3.
Bruh, Duarte is getting garbage minutes and playing even worse this year. He’s not solid, by any means.
Ziare is not even close to being solid. Duarte sucks. Suggs is definitely not a disappointment. And Sengun is more than a steal. For fuck sake, you use steal when you find a role player in late draft. Sengun is a legitimate star candidate and franchise player. Other than obvious points, most of your draft analysis sucks shit. Why do people who don't watch the games make lists?
Why are you so upset over this?
Saying Cade has only been slightly disappointing is not realizing how bad he has been
Damn the 2021 class went from being possibly one of the best draft classes since 2011 to being undoubtedly having a worse ceiling than the 2018 and 2020 draft (who may people see as one of the weakest classes).
I think the 2021 class might not have a clear superstar potential player (like Haliburton or Edwards in 2020), but it still has a nice depth. Quite a few good players with good potential.
Wild wild takes. Mobley is number 1. Then i would take Kai Jones and Primo.
If you don’t take role, efficiency, team play style and defense in to account, it’s easy to put guys like Barnes and Wagner in front of him. First options on their team putting up fairly inefficient numbers.
Giddey would probably go 15 or 16.
Ooof
17 if he's fucken lucky
You mean unlucky
Cade still goes 1st
Why? What has he shown to make it so he’d still go first?
I think I want to see Cade in a better situation before saying he shouldn’t have gone number 1
I’m taking Wagner, Barnes, then Mobley. Don’t sleep on Sengun though. He legitimately looks special right now.
Santi Aldama a possible lottery pick.
Good thing we drafted him with the 10th pick and Ziaire with the 30th, not sure why everyone keeps saying it didn't go that way...
Franz, Sengun, Scottie, Mobley. Cade and Green at 5 and 6 makes sense for both cuz they are still trying to put it all together and still have massive potential. I’m a little biased but I’ll take Suggs at 7 based on how he has played this season I can’t see anyone I’d take over him.
Franz Barnes Sengun clearly top 3. I think Sengun has the highest ceiling, but he might also be the most difficult of all 3 to integrate into a system because of his playstyle.
Mobley at 4. Jalen at 5.
Barnes has probably the highest ceiling can domintae both sides
🤔 Trying to figure out if “Jalen at 5” is an intentional joke (in which case, well played!) or you just forgot there are three Jalens in the top 20 of this draft.
Alperen 1st
- Sengun
- Barnes
- Wagner
Not sure after that
Franz has a 54 ts on 26 usage. Barnes has a 55 ts on 24 usage. Mobley has a 61 ts on 21 percent usage. I feel like people are just ranking these players by scoring average with 0 context around it or thought about the other side of the ball, where Mobley is legitimately one of the most impactful players in their world and the other 2 are still just interesting.
Franz is a better defender than barnes...Part of the reason the Magic have an elite defense.
Franz, Sengun and Scottie top 3 easily
Cam Thomas goes top 5 and is drafted over Jalen green
Herb Jones and Trey Murphy would absolutely be Top 15 picks
Mobley/ Suggs/ Wagner/ Sengun/ Barnes/ Green/ Cade/ Suggs.
Evan Mobley is still underrated
Josh Giddy would be somewhere in the teens.
