[A]lso after Charlie Kirk’s death, the Heritage Foundation twisted data to claim that “50% of all major (non-gang-related) school shootings since 2015 have involved or likely involved transgender ideology.” That was in an effort to get the FBI to create a new domestic terror threat category for “Transgender Ideology-Inspired Extremism.”

How much longer until they decide to just round up the transgender people with ~~the Gestapo~~ ICE? It's getting scary for transgender people.

Hey everyone.

This is what the Nazis did.

Beware peroxide aryans.

I swear I was saying they'd pivot to bounties to target outgroups early in this administration. The people I said it to didn't believe me. Lo and behold, here we are. Floating the idea to test the appetite for it. Then probably remove or sideline people opposed to it internally, and then move forward with implementing it.

I'm tired of my cynical ass being right on matters of things getting worse.

Wasn't there something months ago about bounties and ICE as well?

I remember making jokes that now it really would just be thugs in mask and being indistinguishable from ICE in masks who don't identify themselves.

I'm on this bandwagon, more or less. 12 months ago I was certainly fearing some kind of gestapo, only in the form of the proud boys and other terrorist groups that were breaking bread with trump the first time around. What I couldn't puzzle together was how those assholes would mange to mimic legit police and military, in order to have the optics to operate freely.

What I didn't expect was the whitehouse weaponizing the lowest-empathy-with-guns facet of the executive branch, all the while mimicking terrorist thugs in order to operate with maximum friction instead.

This is how atrocities start. This is the prelude to rounding up LGBTQ people. And then who?

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 5 points 6 days ago

They work on a last-hired-first-fired system. Once they get through one group they move onto the next. Womens rights? Racial segregation? The Jews? Slavery again? On and on they go until they turn in each other. I'm not the first to say it, but this is a suicide cult.

LGBTQ Americans won’t just go. Their allys won’t just stand around.

Immigrants are easy. The illegal ones are illegal and typically work for right wingers in right wing states.

Pride wasn’t a party at first. So actually going for it? That’s an existential threat to a large number of people’s futures.

They would be fucking stupid to try.

[–] turdburglar@piefed.social 6 points 6 days ago

well, they ARE pretty fuken stupid…

[–] bold_atlas@lemmy.world 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

Immigrants are easy. The illegal ones are illegal

Sorry but can you explain exactly what the difference is between between disappearing a person who is declared illegal because of their immigration status and a person who is declared illegal because of their gender/orientation/religion ect?

and typically work for right wingers in right wing states.

I'd also would like to hear more about this alleged fact.

The speed of this fascist bullshit spreading is really a tad worrying.

[–] Sunflier@lemmy.world 10 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Where do you think the Nazis learned their doctrine from?

[–] Dasus@lemmy.world 11 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago) (1 children)

Oh yeah Hitler apparently admired a lot of American policies. Especially segregation. Which the US still had when they supposedly conquered fascism. (And years and years more, decades really) And then took a bunch of Nazi scientists, lol.

But yeah, at least for several decades it was on the backburner and when Obama was president I was actually hopeful.

But then...

20-fucking-16.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 4 points 5 days ago

Nazi's used the US law structures to craft anti-semetic laws.

[–] n0respect@lemmy.world 9 points 6 days ago

Trump already declared the cause of extremist violence is gender views. "threads animating this violent conduct include ... extremism on migration, race, and gender" [EO: Countering Domestic Terrorism] .

We're a short step away from the Democratic Party being declared a terrorist organization.

[–] ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 10 points 6 days ago

I was going to ask where they got that figure. But then I realized that they literally just invented it.

So I will invent my own, 67% of all medical breakthroughs throughout history were done by Transpeople, and 69% of all engineering breakthroughs made prior to 1900 were also done by secret transgender people. Including the main architect of the pyramids in ancient Egypt.

What the fuck?

It's not bad enough you're bleeding the country dry, and we all fucking know it, but to add insult to injury, you keep trying to distract (very poorly btw) from what you're doing by using innocent people as scapegoats

[–] Aljernon@lemmy.today 6 points 6 days ago

Obviously, the awfulness of these people sickens me but sometimes the sheer stupidity comes across as worse

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago

Let's post a bigger bounty for conmen/women that falsely acquire high government positions

[–] LoafedBurrito@lemmy.world 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Bondi has been out of the spotlight for a while after her constant failures. Now she is saying the administration is ignoring the constitution and going full nazi germany on americans.

We saw this coming years ago...
