Instagram filters for everyone!
New Worms game looking hype though

Be a lot more popular applied to digital porn
DLSS 6 will include the Live Undress capability
undress anyone on your screen in real time
Wow, all of those I unreal engine "next Gen" Mario and Zelda videos were right.
‘Artists have the final say’
They already had the final say.
People act like mods and filters haven't been around for decades. I can already put filters on my games, and have been for years
Is the DLSS AI slop going to lead to homogenization of game aesthetics? That's really fucking lame.
Games will soon be just low poly slop with AI enhancements to look good.
I'll take PS1 era low-poly with no AI if it means games will get 20x smaller in size.
Between this and every game these days running in UE5, absolutely...
Thank you for finally providing the context for this image. I've seen it all over the place but I don't game on PC so I wasn't going to take the time to look it up.
slop
it just seems to be fucking the lighting up while also slopifying beauty stereotypes onto women making them look homogenized and not like the artists want (not even just adding detail, it changed hair from blond to bleached brown and changed face bone shape)
who actually even wants this, like, actually wants to use it??
As we already know, this is the south park timeline, so DLSS 6 (or a later one like 7 or 8) will most likely have undressing functionality.
AMD should thank Nvidia for giving them customers (i've never actually used, and never will use, an Nvidia GPU, i have intel integrated gpu + amd gpu rn (but this pc is pretty old), previously i used a Mac. hopefully ill be able to get a new thing with a good AMD GPU)
Leaving aside the question of artistic intent, does this not lead to every player having a different experience? Or maybe even every session? DLSS 5 seems to fill in a looot of details and even changing things. How are they making sure it's the same for every player?
Or maybe even every session?
Fuck that... every frame.
Although, that was the experience with Stable Diffusion a few years ago. WAN Video is good enough for remembering the face during the course of the processed length (4-5 seconds or so). But, as soon as it needs any sort of object permanence, like when the face is hidden, suddenly, it doesn't know what it was looking at any more. Seems like a solvable problem with reference images. I doubt NVIDIA thought that far, though.
NNs are deterministic. Chatbot and image generator implementations just purposely add randomization to make them seem more intelligent.
Though depending on how much context they pull in from neighbours, you can get overfitting, like a character might end up with a different face depending on what's in the background. Vague unreadable text could be replaced with random readable text that also heavily depends on what is seen elsewhere in the frame (assuming it's trained on enough text that if doesn't just make legible text illegible).
So while it can be deterministic, it can still be highly chaotic, depending on how exactly it gets implemented. And I'd guess that it's a double edged sword where sometimes more context gives better results and other times less context gives better results. And I'd also guess that if you want to avoid overfitting, the amount of training data needs to increase exponentially with the number of inputs, assuming there's enough neurons in the network to encode the necessary complexity.
Incel Shading
Can I have this for teams? I work with so many ugly people that I need to paint them over in real time 😁
I don't care if 2 50x somethings need to run on 100 percent half the day.
Changed the bone structure of the face and the clavicle.
If claims about video game characters setting standards for beauty, hold any substance, then the same logic should be calling this racist propaganda.
It doesn't look like the same character anymore. The right side just looks like something AI hallucinated that is vaguely similar. If that were a real person you wouldn't be able to recognize them anymore.
Also, what the fuck do you call that? "Standard Human Face" ?
AI has never fixed shit ever. It always just makes shit up. I wouldn't even use it to remove the Starbucks cup from Game of Thrones, cause I don't know what the fuck it will put there instead. Whatever it "thinks" is supposed to be there, I guess.
That's another thing broken about AI, they just make you look more like a kardashian because they have more pictures on the web than anyone else, it's just gross tbh
Digital Foundry somehow still praises it 🤦🏻♀️
Just to be clear, this is what you have a problem with: https://streamable.com/j0ryqe
Yeah this tech when in the hands of the actual devs will be transformative
People are upset about the direction they took it in a tech demo.
Granted that it is laughably insta thot looking
Game artists can literally create their exact version of ultra realistic character image and train it on that
I think DF is right. Implemented tastefully this shit will be like jumping 2 console generations.
Plus it is OPTIONAL.
You can just switch it off ya nerds jesus
Adjusted for a more "natural" and less "cinematic" look and generally just dialed down a bit, this will be so incredible to optionally use if you want.
