Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Joe. He used you as a distraction. You are a tool.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 44 points 2 weeks ago

Joe Rogan allegedly allowed Harris to travel to Texas during a key weekend because she hoped to do his show. Instead of giving her a spot on his show, he gave Trump that spot resulting in Harris wasting an entire day.

I don’t genuinely believe this would have made a difference to Harris. But I do think it shows Joe Rogan’s motives at the time. Fuck that guy.

More like a Pawn.

[–] mrslt@lemmy.world 108 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

Glad to see Joe finally catching up with the rest of us. Dude is perpetually at least six months behind the rest of the country.

[–] rottenmummy@lemmy.ml 52 points 2 weeks ago

His role model is Internet Explorer

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 30 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I genuinely think COVID made his brain dumber.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 10 points 2 weeks ago

How was that even possible though! He was already borderline so low he had to consciously remember to breathe. Which we would all be better off if he forgot.

[–] HazardousBanjo@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago

No, not this. Never this.

Joe Rogan supported Trump solely because he's in the top 1% and only cares about his perpetual tax break on his riches.

He's a total fascist oligarch asshole who'll just hop onto the next pair of fascist nuts his billionaire sugar daddies tell him to.

He is irreparably evil.

[–] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 93 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (3 children)

Joe Rogan will never outlive his contribution to this. He will be denigrated in history as a sophist, an ignoramus, and a fascist sympathizer, if not a fascist himself. His children will deny him and do everything they can to distance themselves from his legacy. So let it be written.

[–] 3jane@piefed.ca 29 points 2 weeks ago

He made a lot of money doing it. That's all he cares about.

[–] Samskara@sh.itjust.works 25 points 2 weeks ago

Joe represents the average American really well.

[–] wewbull@feddit.uk 10 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

I don't really care. If he can help lead people back from crazy land, I'm all for it.

Dumb shit realises the same thing everyone else with two brain cells to rub together did.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 16 points 2 weeks ago

It's so obvious that even this numbskull eventually got it, which means other MAGAs are getting it, too.

Not all, though. Still a lot that are going to have to get kicked in the balls a few more times before they finally wise up.

Joe’s full of shit as usual.

Control oil because he’s stuck in the ‘80s? Yes.

Control oil because petro state and anti-EV? Yes.

Control oil in an attempt to keep it on the petro dollar? Yes.

Pump and dump the stock market to make billions in insider trading? Fuck yes.

Because trump’s and his minions are idiots and don’t understand how interconnected and dependent the world economy is on the movement of energy products and their production ? Yes.

Because he’s worried about being prosecuted for anything in the Epstein files, and the judicial branch is threatening him with active investigations? Fuck no.

[–] teyrnon@sh.itjust.works 21 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

The reason he went to war is because Israel forced hm to, with the epstein blackmail.

Making money off of it is just natural for our gangster president and his administration. This war wasn't good for him, he was forced into it, just as Israel forced the last ones, and made him look like a bitch in every one by immediately violating any ceasefires he negotiated.

It really is that way, Epstein was Israel getting blackmail, and the president, and so many others, are compromised. It can't be ignored, and the big criticism of Joe's response here, is he's underhanding his criticism here, when he knows damn well it's because of blackmail, not distraction alone.

Everything Trump does is either; A: a distraction from the Epstein files, or B: a grift, or C: both A and B

[–] winkerjadams@lemmy.dbzer0.com 15 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

You forgot C: someone hurt his feelings with D: all of the above

[–] HorreC@lemmy.world 17 points 2 weeks ago

Leave it up to neanderthal Joe Rogan to finally catch on to something way, way after us homo sapiens have.

[–] cerebralhawks@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I mean... yeah. Everything's a distraction for something with this administration. They hope you forgot about Greenland, or the failed insurrection in 2020, or, yeah, the Epstein files.

But seriously, it's not like anybody is getting arrested in the US over the Epstein files. People in other countries are facing consequences, but not in the US.

If you're in the US, you can be jailed for seeing video or pictures of CSA, while the actual perpetrators being named and shamed in the files are getting away with it. So is the crime the CSA or the knowledge that powerful people are doing it? It should be the CSA. I don't think people should be able to possess CSAM, but if the people doing it are known and getting away with it, is it a crime to see what they did or is it a crime to know who did it to whom?

I can walk and chew bubblegum at the same time. And considering how many people refer to it as "Epstein Fury", I'd say that others can display a similarly modest level of multitasking.

[–] SooperGoose@thelemmy.club 11 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Correction *Joe Rogan points out the obvious fact that everyone paying attention already knows

In this case, Joe Rogaine is correct.

We seem to have forgotten the gestapo admist the war and Epstein files but we still have them too

[–] flop_leash_973@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

He must think there is currently more money in being critical of Trump over this than supporting it. Advice remains the same, fuck Joe Rogan, everyone should ignore him.

[–] Janx@piefed.social 8 points 2 weeks ago

Yep! Maybe you shouldn't have helped him get elected?

[–] Huschke@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

And Melania brought the attention right back to the files.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago
