Donald Trump announced Sunday that Republicans plan to dispense a large “Election Integrity Army” to every single state for the 2026 midterms – invoking his debunked claims that the United States does not have fair elections. In a message on his Truth Social platform the president appeared to attribute his “Historic Election in 2024” to the fact that the Republican National Committee sent thousands of volunteers across the country to poll watch or assist with election litigation through a volunteer program. “During my Historic Election in 2024, when I won every single Swing State, and decisively won both the Electoral and Popular votes by wide margins, the Republicans had an Election Integrity Army in every single State to preserve the sanctity of each legal vote. We will be doing the same again in 2026, but it will be much bigger and stronger,” Trump wrote. Trump did not elaborate on who would be part of the “Election Integrity Army” or how large it would be.

If the US doesn’t have fair elections—how did Trump get elected twice? Oh right b/c they’re fair when maggots get their way, and elections are rigged when they lose. If Mango Shittler sends armies to polling stations is it fair to say……that there will be blood???

[–] Fredselfish@lemmy.world 12 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

So he admitting that he stole the election in 2024. Because he just magically won every single swing state by large margins? The same states that Musk so happen to make sure all the voting machines worked "properly".

Motherfucker spent all the time from when he lost until 2024 claiming Biden stole the election, so after he did just that he can now claim us all nuts for saying he stole this election.

Because if we ever crawl out of this fascist mess (which I highly doubt) we will learn that Harris won all the legitimate votes and the votes for Trump were is base at 30% rest were faked.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 3 points 1 hour ago

You know what annoys me the most about that thing? The Democratic leadership didn't insist on any double checking or tests to ensure that the voting wasn't fixed. They just shrugged their shoulders and assumed everything was above board.

Or worse, didn't care.

[–] TemplaerDude@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 hours ago

Anyone who says something like “and the other shoe drops” is a fucking clown, this fascist buffoon has been showing his intentions from day one. You can only hope at this point some more brave Americans with better aim can put a fucking hole in him.

[–] meowmeow@quokk.au 14 points 4 hours ago (10 children)

If we don’t kill him now, it will be too late by the midterms. You should expect to go to jail for thinking lefty thoughts in 2027. Somehow, this has not sunk into most of your heads

[–] Objection@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago) (1 children)

If we don’t kill him now, it will be too late by the midterms.

What does that even mean? He's already president with secret service protection, so it's not as if he'd be particularly easy to kill now (and has had it since well before being elected) and it's not as though there's some special "become impossible to kill button" he's waiting for the midterms to press.

Do you mean, it'll be too late for killing him to stop the things that are in motion? Because that's always been the case. Killing some senile octogenarian was never going to make a difference.

Real life isn't a movie. You're not cutting the red wire with 1 second left on the clock counting down to fascism.

[–] meowmeow@quokk.au -2 points 51 minutes ago

You’re trivializing a serious situation. If you weren’t an ML, I’d have a discussion with you, but since you’re clearly only interested in watching the US catch on fire, I don’t think talking to you would be useful. So, I’m just gonna preemptively block you. Have a the day you voted for.

We all knew this was going to happen. I'm probably not going to vote this time. They're in power and they're not giving that power up. It's over.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 1 points 19 minutes ago

Yes, it's always the best idea to roll over and let the bullies just win without as much as a whimper!!

Everyone knows that narcissistic, mushy brained, child rapists (and their sycophantic enablers) will just stop being evil once they get their way.
FUCKS SAKE.
FUCK. SAKE!!! GROW A PAIR. CHRIST

Let's send a "Presidential Integrity Army" to the White House. A few million should do the trick. Burn it to the ground, with the rats and roaches trapped inside. It will be worth the cost to rebuild it.

[–] CircaV@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

Americans are too fat, disengaged, and complacent to ever raise one fat bloated finger off the couch to do anything. They are a population completely lulled into passivity.

Put your money where your mouth is and blow the head off your least favourite politician.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 hours ago

Americans won’t even set fire to a data center. They’re not going to do shit.

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 13 points 5 hours ago

Don't rebuild it. It's a symbol of oppression and warmongering.

So lemme get this straight: the guy who won the last election is claiming that the elections are rigged? I'm just trying to understand here

[–] kurmudgeon@lemmy.world 89 points 7 hours ago (4 children)

It's how he knows they're rigged. If they weren't he wouldn't have won.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 37 points 6 hours ago (8 children)

He just assumes that both sides are rigged, and whoever rigs it best is the winner. That's why he was so pissed in 2020. He knows it was rigged, but so many voted against him that it invalidated whatever he did. He was more successful at rigging the 2024 election.

He's going to rig 2028, too. Don't be surprised if the smoke clears, and he gets more votes than the other candidates, so he has no choice but to honor the will of the people over the Constitution, and remain in office.

[–] DillDough@lemmy.zip 23 points 5 hours ago

2016 as well. He even opened multiple investigations into it during his first term and the results were conclusively that the only notable instances of interference were either from or on behalf of the Republican party.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago) (1 children)

He shouldn't even be on the ballots in 2028!!!!

Trump did not elaborate on who would be part of the “Election Integrity Army” or how large it would be.

It's a dog whistle to the "militia" people.

You are understanding correctly.

Leading up to November 2024 elections, he said on multiple media outlets "We already have all the votes we need. The election has already been decided. It's the last election you'll ever need to vote in. Thats how good we rigged it."

Literally said it MULTIPLE times.

And now he's talking about it again, openly as being rigged.

He's saying the quiet part outloud, and nobody is outraged, because nobody is taking him at face value.

Your best shot at preventing this was November 2024.

This is your bed now.

[–] tidderuuf@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

Yup. No way America is coming back, even if turnout by Dems is the highest in history there will still be battles in courts and Trump has had plenty of time to put his cronies in those key locations.

Now it's time to just stock up, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over.

[–] Reality_Suit@lemmy.world 21 points 6 hours ago

No matter what Trump does, he will always be a pedophile.

[–] ExtremeDullard@piefed.social 45 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Why gee, that's a surprise...

Here's my prediction: the GOP will win those totally fair elections in a landslide.
Time to hit Polymarket!

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 5 points 3 hours ago

Here’s my prediction: “the resistance” will do fucking nothing, roll over, and accept it

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 8 points 5 hours ago

Army. Not commission. Not task force. Army.

How does one apply for this election integrity army job? What is the wage and how much work is there?

[–] queerlilhayseed@piefed.blahaj.zone 22 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Grab your gun and Punisher neck gaiter and roll up to your polling place and menace the people going in. Congrats, you are now in the Election Integrity Army.

Wages you say? are you not a patriot? Is the fear in the eyes of your fellow human beings not payment enough?

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 6 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Oh, wages are covered.

The job works on commission. Any property acquired through civil forfeiture during your duties in the Election Integrity Army are yours to keep.

[–] PineRune@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

This is why when a cop asks if you are carrying any money on you, the answer is always "No."

[–] BucketBong@p.hobo.social 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

The land of the free and the home of the brave.... remember when that meant something America.

[–] III@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

...did it ever mean something?

[–] nomy@lemmy.zip 1 points 3 hours ago

It did and still does (mean it's time to play ball).
