Just remember that the current UK equivalent is $8.30 for Diesel and $7.88 for gas/petrol

I'm sure you can do better

[–] regedit@lemmy.zip 18 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Even more fucked when you consider these are the prices in the US with oil subsidies. It would be so much more expensive without them, and only gas-powered vehicles would be paying, and not all of us...

[–] Timecircleline@sh.itjust.works 5 points 7 hours ago

Except that all goods require shipping and most shipping is also done by gas powered vehicles. I wish there was a way to opt out but I don't see it being possible.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 20 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

We are ruled by the dumbest dipshits on the planet.

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 5 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

For some reason that's the biggest bummer of it all to me, how incredibly dumb and powerful these people are. I'm starting to think someone has to be dumb to want to exert power over another person in the first place. I'm sure it fuels their egos too.

I wonder what its like to live like that, it sounds incredibly foreign.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 2 points 7 hours ago

Intelligence and the drive for ruthless power aren't necessarily connected. For these dumb MAGA Apes, ruthless power is just a toy to play with.

[–] elbiter@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago

Let them eat cake...

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmy.world 19 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Americans have had cheap fuel since forever

They also seem to like stupid vehicles that are incredibly inefficient

I love my little electric car. I have solar at home and have never once charged at a station and paid for it

[–] roker@thelemmy.club 1 points 9 minutes ago

you don't have to pay at a charge station? Did I miss something?

He's never filled his own gas tank. He has no idea what the fuck we are talking about.

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 2 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

He doesnt know what the second pedal is for.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world 3 points 7 hours ago

Neither did his parents, apparently

[–] ThomasWilliams@lemmy.world 6 points 14 hours ago

You try filling up a helicopter to weekend at your ancestral home in Valley Forge, JFC !

You povvos have no idea.

FFS, you can't keep polo horses in Manhatten, the noise and pollution stresses them.

[–] JeeBaiChow@lemmy.world -2 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

Thia gaza thing better be worth it...

[–] deathmetaldawgy@lemmy.ml 2 points 5 hours ago

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 21 points 20 hours ago

It's a peanut, Michael! How much could it cost?

[–] dizzle18@lemmy.zip 11 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Speaking of peanuts, I really wish this fuck would choke on one.

[–] dual_sport_dork@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago

We could try a pretzel. It almost worked on Bush the 2nd.

[–] o0evillusion0o@sh.itjust.works 1 points 9 hours ago

No chance. He's used to having little things in his mouth.

I learned that from the TRUMP-EPSTEIN FILES (TM)

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 13 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

She's holding steady captain! $6.20!

[–] Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 hours ago

640 off the port bow!

[–] socsa@piefed.social 22 points 23 hours ago

I mean yeah, we are sacrificing so much, but the pain is temporary, and a small price to pay for giving Iran a massive strategic boost they couldn't have gotten any other way!

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 66 points 1 day ago (10 children)

I dunno how much longer Bobby John from Oklahoma can take filling up his RAM 3500 Dually lifted XTREME offRoad Pavement Princess Edition™ @ $150 a pop for much longer, Mr. Pedo. You're making your cult followers very angry!

Keep it up!

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 1 points 5 hours ago

Why does no one seem to care about this outside of the internet?

On the internet, we all agree. Off the internet? It’s like I’m speaking a different language.

[–] the_tab_key@lemmy.world 65 points 1 day ago (28 children)

The baseline tank size for a ram 3500 is 32 gallons. Diesel is $5.74/gal on average in the Midwest. So a full fill up is ~$184/tank. You underestimated that, yikes.

For more fun, you can also upgrade to a 50 gallon tank, making it $287/tank.

These get a respectable ~18 mpg, so $0.32 per mile.

Just throwing money away

[–] socsa@piefed.social 27 points 23 hours ago (4 children)

They get 18mpg when you drive them like a fucking baby on the highway. Your average idiot who floors it at every stoplight, and does 90 on the interstate gets half that.

[–] LastYearsIrritant@sopuli.xyz 2 points 9 hours ago

It gets between 11-12 mpg on average according to user reports at Fuelly

Diesel is around $6/gal depending on where you live.

It costs around $0.50/mile to drive a Ram 3500 6L just in fuel. On average. Across thousands of drivers that reported data.

This just shows how completely out of touch this asshat is.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 31 points 23 hours ago

What does a gallon of gas cost? $100?

[–] stumu415@lemmy.zip 6 points 18 hours ago

Luckily I can fill up my Xiaomi YU7 for $0.12 KwH. So total would be $11 if it was totally drained, which it never is.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 102 points 1 day ago (5 children)

Start putting these on the pumps:

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

Fairly certain my Trump “I did that” stickers come down the same day I put them up.

Glad I sprung for the 100 pack.

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 4 points 5 hours ago* (last edited 5 hours ago)

Cut them after you put them up. Like slice them so when they go to peel them off they have to peel off a bunch of bits of sticker and not the whole thing at once.

[–] CannonFodder@lemmy.world -2 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I wonder what would happen if you put a razor blade behind the sticker when you put them up.

[–] northernlights@lemmy.today 3 points 5 hours ago

You would hurt a poor underpaid gas station attendant

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 8 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

I bet anything the same bunch that were screaming "make comedy legal again!!111eleventy!" and slapping their knees at how hilarious those Biden "I did that" stickers were (even though he had quite literally nothing at all to do with gas prices OR inflation) are now squealing in agony and racing to tear those down when they see the highly accurate and very apropos Trump "I did that" stickers, though. 🤣

[–] athatet@lemmy.zip 5 points 18 hours ago

Yup. They can’t handle it being thrown back at them because they are snowflakes. It’s literally always projection.
