Also didnt they start planning this thing like three months ago. Most performers have their schedules set like a year in advance. My understanding is that a bunch if the acts didn't even know they were in it.
From what I heard, they didn't know what, it was. They thought it was the official celebration but it turned out to be a cheap replica organized by the white house. They didn't approve so canceled.
But you also make a good point. We all know who organized it: incompetent idiots.
I hope various groups and organizations are organizing an alternative event, with all the best artists and food and speakers, and blackjack and hookers. And millions of people attend or tune into that. It would be hilarious to see it completely eclipse this disaster that Trump is pushing.

I'm pretty sure warped tour is happening at the same time. There will be a large amount of people close by the white house completely ignoring his event bcz there's an actual enjoyable event happening.

TIL that according to the highest official representatives of the United States, there is not a single talented musician in the United States.
It's a shame, and it would have been a good concert. The blame lies on the untalented musicians who have no talent, if they had talent there would have been a concert with talented musicians.
