Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

"What he says" = rig elections.

Well, the last guy thought it’d be a thousand-year reich. So the fact the delusions are getting shorter shows a marked improvement in the narcissists’ mentality.

I wonder when it will go to "honerery aryans" levels

What do you think upset these people so much?

They just don't get that their beliefs are what drive away potential mates. Also the debt pit having a kid puts you in, but that is about the same level as the posted picture.

One of those dudes in the pic methed out and the other has dedicated his life to undoing the damage his brief affair with extremist groups caused.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 9 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Link for the latter? Not that I don't believe you, it's just a good thing to know the details of.

Thank you. I'll unpaywall it later.

I found actually just clicking the x on the popup made the while thing accessible for me

[–] tacoplease@lemmy.world 2 points 11 hours ago

Too much porn made them think ugly guys got laid 4 times a day.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 5 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

What do you think Kash Patel is trying to become?

[–] Plum@lemmy.world 9 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Legally immune from criminal prosecution.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 7 points 19 hours ago

He’s delusional if he thinks for a moment they won’t turn on him

[–] Archangel1313@lemmy.ca 73 points 21 hours ago

Well, yeah. As long as they cheat, they'll never lose.

[–] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 54 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

I mean, the Whig party hasn’t lost an election in 100 years...

[–] lettruthout@lemmy.world 16 points 19 hours ago

I like you.

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 3 points 16 hours ago

I think the Know Nothing party hasn't lost an election in almost 250 years....

[–] BlameTheAntifa@lemmy.world 39 points 20 hours ago

They are openly dismantling democracy so that elections are theater and nothing more. They won’t lose an election because “elections” will be preordained.

[–] DMCMNFIBFFF@lemmy.world 8 points 15 hours ago

IIUC, in the past 100 years, several Democrats have won the Presidency without mail-in ballots.

Didnt the trump family just pump and dump his base with a billion dollar crypto scam and a gold phone scam? Why would republicans want 100 years of more of being treated like chumps?

Apply this reasoning to capitalism as a whole, and an interesting thing occurs.

[–] TefikiMupu@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago

Because it is a cult. People have killed themselves over more ridiculous beliefs.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 25 points 20 hours ago

The same reason they seem to be OK with the last year and a half of it, I guess - because they're fuckwits.

[–] PapaStevesy@lemmy.world 12 points 18 hours ago (1 children)
[–] zbyte64@awful.systems 1 points 14 hours ago

I mean MAGA women are horny for trump and the husbands go along with it

[–] jj4211@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago

Even as they gripe about terrible GOP behavior, they usually say "but at least they aren't Democrats".

[–] someguy3@lemmy.world 6 points 16 hours ago

“But if we terminate the filibuster as we should do and immediately vote for the SAVE America Act, then we will not lose an election for 100 years.”

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 4 points 20 hours ago

IF they are foolish, stupid or unwise?

[–] voidsignal@lemmy.world 3 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (1 children)

either way, they're gonna lose all of them
