Posting one of the architects of the holocaust (in space, not the jewish one) is not the gotcha moment you think it is.

[–] treesquid@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

Like AI, those "yams" are super fake, so still not missing anything

Yes I would.

...

Now....

Would I also accidentally fork over secrets critical to the enslavement of my entire species to the AI? Also yes.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

A test drive if you will.

[–] sem@piefed.blahaj.zone 11 points 2 days ago (3 children)

Are we all AI by the end of last season?

What a weird show.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 10 points 1 day ago (2 children)

"... and they have a plan"

But the show's producers never figured it out

[–] Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip 1 points 11 hours ago

It was the network that forced them into that tagline if i recall.

[–] jobbies@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

I'd forgotten about that.

I always thought it was cut short. Definitely had a few more seasons in it.

[–] Quacksalber@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Yeah, the religious overtones have taken center stage in the last seasons. Definity detracting from an otherwise stellar show. And I think they implied that we are.

[–] ZkhqrD5o@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

And IMO the ending was made deliberately trash. At the end they all decide: "We have come a long way and after New Caprica and everything we've been through, we've learned a lot. So let's forget all of that and become cave men." They got fucked by Baltar in New caprica so they want do it again and this time even worse, without an escape. Lol.

[–] Ariselas@piefed.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's hard to get them out entirely when you consider that the original show was heavily based in Mormonism

We are all AI on this blessed day.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Yes I would. I do not trust "Alternative Intelligence".

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

It does, and I do.

[–] DjangoFett@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Touched a nerve have I?! Which I find rather hard to believe! You haven't seen the last of me! That's it! No More Mister Nice Gaius!

[–] Redditmodstouchgrass@lemmy.zip 1 points 11 hours ago

Loved that episode, still hate that they forget he was a computer scientist when he unplugs the monitors at the end.

[–] Sibshops@lemmy.myserv.one 9 points 2 days ago

Where are the yams? There's not even potatoes nor any type of spud.

Yes, I would hate it an equal amount. Although it already does, no?

[–] db2@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Apparently she hated that job.

[–] bjoern_tantau@swg-empire.de 2 points 1 day ago

Judging by her comments on her rewatch together with Katee Sackhoff she didn't. She was just pretty pissed about the hair color making her hair fall out.

But she, like most of the other cast members, loved the freedom and collaboration on the show.

[–] AgentSeven@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I don't know why. It's not like her resume otherwise is nothing but bangers.

I enjoyed her role in Lucifer.
