/c/TenForward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. Use spoiler tags in comments, and NSFW checkbox for posts.
This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

It's this an ad for a steam deck? Have ads come to Lemmy?

I mean... Should we be proud, or disappointed?

[–] Hiro8811@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Are you sure it's not ad for the bag? Or his clothes?

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

No, but I apologize if that's what it looks like. Just harkening to my gaming soul and that apparatus happens to be the most recent mobile purchase outside of my own builds.

That bag irritates the heck out of me.

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's awkward and impractical. Could be used as a tool bag, but then better already exists and this would just make O'Brien suffer needlessly.

That tool kit is kind of awesome.

a PADD and a Hyperspaner is all anyone needs:

For clothing, just a Riker vacation outfit is all you'll need:

I'm traveling with my nieces and nephews, so best not. Also, I lack the requisite Bowie-esque codpiece.

Any excuse to post this gif, I will take.

[–] negativenull@piefed.world 2 points 1 day ago

They'll appreciate you not wearing that, and probably appreciate the ~~Switch~~ PADD too

One of my favorite features of PieFed. I am able to schedule posts ahead of time to publish on a regular cadence. I could take a vacation and that wouldn't affect my posting cadence because I could have them all scheduled ahead of time.

Because I notoriously occasionally get a burst of creativity and create a dozen posts in a single evening, but I don't want to flood the community with my garbage, so I schedule them all to trickle out to you once per day.

Good to know. More a fly by the seat of my pants type. Have had some spurts of creativity where I've made 3-4 in an evening, but that's rare. Been running a bit thin of late with some luck at the last minute. A lot of what I make depends on the input of everyone else here and whatever I happen to be watching at the time. Maybe a break will do me good, but then that urge to create something will come at me like Dexter trying to ignore his Dark Passenger.
