It's so insane that so much crazy shit is coming from this administration that this was last week and it seems to be barely covered.

This guy references Alex Jones level stuff, and he's the HHS Secretary.

I mean....what even the fuck is happening.

I mean…what even the fuck is happening.

Americans chose one of the most visibly immoral, inept and ignorant person to be president TWICE

All of this was visible 16 km away (10 miles), the biggest concession I can grant here is the disbelief it could actually happen

But happen it did, in the same way the UK shot itself in the foot with Brexit, the USA did even worse and ate the poisonous mushroom. I honestly can't see a way this does not end in WWIII and/or the break up of the USA

If you think about it, the best way to stop a momentous beast isn't to focus on the momentum, it's to focus on the head and where it's going and then the momentum fizzles out on its own. Republican mantra has always been to make government as ineffective as possible so they can look at government and correctly assess that it's ineffective. Previously they worked to starve departments of resources, and they've already done that to the extent that it wasn't even legal. New strategy in Trump and beyond is just to appoint clowns and make the world's biggest clown show in each of their respective agencies. The anti-government shit writes itself when you've got the likes of Malory McMorrow saying, "Medicare for all means someone like Trump would control it, do you really want that?"

[–] Jhex@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

You are still clinging to the idea that there is a plan here and it is not just a display on how mediocrity took over

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (3 children)

mediocrity took over

Even mediocrity from the cons, while not great, would at least be a lot better than this.

These people all seem to be some of the most maliciously stupid and/or unqualified that they could find. If they have any capability, it's put to the task of carrying out evil: shitheel psychopaths like Vought and Miller as a for-instance.

When they don't even have any capability they end up like Brainwormz here. A guy who is supposed to be looking out for health who looks and sounds terrible, has strange hobbies (dead whale heads, anyone? How about a bear carcass?) and even stranger beliefs - who needs that germ theory of disease, amirite - and says absolutely crazy shit - he can spot mitochondrial damage, talks about the "vaccine injured", yells at reporter that she is not a scientist when he obviously has net negative credentials, and blurts out shit about chemtrails.

At least someone who was mediocre would probably tend to just agree with experts, vs. think they know better.

It's called a firehose of falsehoods, and is designed to flood people with so much bullshit that they give up and stop paying attention to everything.

Gish Gallop

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 week ago

I mean…what even the fuck is happening.

Chemical combustion?

How many US states have banned water vapor?

And is the earth really a sphere? really?

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

If we get through this administration as a country, I just wanna stay alive long enough to see all the documentaries making fun of this bat shit crazy stuff. My fear is this is now the baseline as we hurl to the more prophetic future of Idiocracy.

[–] chahn.chris@piefed.social 3 points 1 week ago (2 children)

A lot of American voters love conspiracy theories.

Dude looks more microwaved than usual.

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 7 points 1 week ago

He probably just dropped out of a Chem trail.

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago)

It’s like he’s bathing in beet juice or something.

He sorta looks like a radish.

[–] flango@lemmy.eco.br 3 points 1 week ago

XD as of now I will be using microwaved as an adjective. Thank you.

[–] yesman@lemmy.world 21 points 1 week ago (4 children)

Chem-trails are like space-lasers, they're so stupid, they wouldn't even work if they were real.

If you've ever noticed that industrial buildings use tall smoke stacks, you know why. It's because that smoke dispersed into the atmosphere @ 50m will be diluted to safe(er/ish) levels by the time it reaches ground level.

Now if you're trying to release a pathogen or a drug, doing so at 19,000m is the kind of stupid that wears a helmet to watch TV.

A day spent looking at chemtrails is a day spent not looking at real problems.

[–] VitoRobles@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago

Every other day, there's a new food scare.

[–] lemmy_outta_here@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Sounds nice. I would like to get good and stoned and look at contrails too.

By the way - why does he call them chem trails? the "chem" is water vapour

[–] Bromeliadventures@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

I mean... water is a chemical. So that's something he's not wrong about. Which gives this a rarity value I suppose.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (4 children)

So should we be thankful he's not fucking those up worse, or…?

There are chemicals in chemtrails.

Most of what you see in a chemtrail is hydrogen hydroxide. (CAS 7732-18-5)

Hydrogen Hydroxide is a solvent that will dissolve a great many things, including some rocks. It causes corrosion, especially when mixed with sodium chloride. (CAS 7647-14-5) Gaseous HH will cause disfuguring burns upon skin contact. HH has been found in tumors, and brain worms. It's used as a coolant in industrial applications. Breathing hydrogen hydroxide can cause death.

I think if you're worried about chemtrails, you should avoid all exposure to hydrogen hydroxide for the forseeable future.

[–] bluemellophone@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Just so we are all on the same page, to be painfully clear: this is satire.

[–] SippyCup@lemmy.world 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

So... Should I stop drinking industrial coolant or not?

[–] some_kind_of_guy@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I wouldn't worry about it. Been bathing in it for years and I'm practically made of the stuff at this point.

Wow, I knew dihydrogen monoxide was pretty nasty stuff, but this hydrogen hydroxide sounds so much worse!

[–] Aedis@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I know this is supposed to be satire, but the nitpicker in me wants to add "needs citation" everywhere

[–] frustrated_phagocytosis@fedia.io 13 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Dumbass, look at pesticide use and power plant pollution, actual existing health threats!

I mean, I also look up at water vapor in the sky. It's fascinating.

[–] dmtalon@lemmy.world 11 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Did we get the final results on what causes Autism? Shouldn't he finish that conspiracy theory before moving onto chemtrails, or did he just move on when it turned out that thing he heard on facebook that one time wasn't really the cause?

Did anyone expect anything else from this braindead moronic lunatic?

[–] smeenz@lemmy.nz 4 points 1 week ago

To be fair, there's only so much a brain worm pulling some puppet strings can really be expected to understand.

Reminder that """chemtrails""" behind planes in the sky are water condensation trails (also called contrails) which forms due to the air pressure drop over the top of the wing. It is the same phenomenon as the small cloud produced by the pressure drop when quickly opening a can of a carbonated beverage

Also RFKJr: “I am a driveling moron.”

[–] Curious_Canid@piefed.ca 5 points 1 week ago

Once you give up on the principle of evidence-based reasoning, everything is on the table. You can speculate about whatever insane bullshit you want and it doesn't have to make sense.

[–] Burn_The_Right@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago

Conservatives are dumb as fuuuuuuuuck.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago

RFK Jr is huffing fucking chemtrails

[–] Bwaz@lemmy.world 4 points 1 week ago

Next he'll be looking into contamination at that pizzagate contamination.

[–] CannonFodder@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (2 children)

Sure, we should cut down on the CO₂, NO_x, CO, SO_x and trace jet fuel being emitted by jet planes.

Santa brought it early! But it was Idiocracy that he brought upon us, for shame. This is hundreds of years ahead of the prophecy.

People will go to extraordinary ends to justify their habits, it seems. I find it curious that people convince themselves that other creatures don't process pain like humans do. Then, once it is evident that they do, the efforts to find other ways to still kill and eat them will commence. Versus you know, maybe not killing and eating them?

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 3 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Yea when you read that article you really have to wonder. It's justification after justification

Anyway I really just wanted to underline how much RFK reminded me of a lobster

Holy shit I can't believe our tax dollars are going towards this. I also can't believe the government is lending credence to sub nonsense although I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.
