Why do I have to follow the law when the DOJ doesn’t even follow the law? There is no law only anarchy in king pedos fiefdoms of former America.

Welcome to the News community!
Rules:
1. Be civil
Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on. Keep on-topic
2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.
I mean, they can't actually enforce these subpoenas... They have to appeal the judges ruling right?
So this is them, trying to scare election workers but with zero force behind it. Empty threats.
There's a lot of moving pieces with multiple court actions.
Judge Carter denied the TRO to segregate the 20k ballots. Because he declined to issue any order, Judge Carter did not prohibit the feds from doing anything, like these subpoenas. But he did say he would be very unhappy. This case went all the way through the 9th circuit yesterday, and I expect it to show up at the supreme court today if it's not already there.
In the SEIU case, public employee unions that represent CA election workers went to court to stop the harassment from the feds. They won a same day, ex parte, TRO enjoining the feds from doing the shit in the headline with the subpoenas. That happened on Friday; yesterday the feds appealed to the 9th circuit. This suit is not mentioned in the article.
There's a 3rd case, headlined by "California Nurses Association", that won a bigger injunction against election worker intimidation practices in multiple states. CA Nurses is further along in the appeals process than SEIU.
Both of the injunction cases have some legal problems. They purport to restrict the feds from doing certain subpoenas or certain indictments before they actually do them. The feds are going to claim the court doesn't have the power to enjoin that
The long established legal remedy for a bad subpoena is a motion to quash in the individual case. And the remedy for a bad indictment is a motion to dismiss.
The other side of that argument is going to be that the feds' behaviour is so egregious, and the stakes are so high, that the equitable power of injunction can expand to meet this task.
TLDR: Lower judges are saying they can't even issue the subpoenas. They could very well be overruled. If they do, then they would have to fight each individual subpoena.
Update: It is now lunchtime on Sunday, and the DOJ has still not put up their emergency appellate motion in the SEIU case. They noticed the appeal yesterday, but if they don't ask for expedited handling, that appeal will not be decided until 2027.
DOJ is really not up to snuff on tactics any more, like they used to be.
Yeah because the vast majority of the competent lawyers in leadership positions quit

In normal times, it’s a good idea for someone to be harmed before you try to redress that harm. But this is one of the things that must change in today’s dysfunctional government, where people don’t hesitate to illegally demolish things first in order to say “now you have to let me build a gold plated ballroom for my 900 closest friends”. What good is a justice system that can’t stop injustice?
Thanks for this! I remain cautiously optimistic.
You mean a crime
Yes, that too
We're fucked, in case you didn't already know.
Native American here - first time for some of y’all. Maybe stop believing the rich bigoted men when they promise this time they’ll help you and your ideals out.

Emotional validation for Stephen Miller
PeeWee Himmler
I don't think anything could emotionally validate that weird little mutant.
They don't expect to find shit. They just want an excuse to throw away the votes of brown people.
Some kind of Hispanic name — any one will do — with so much as a jaywalking citation.
