Do you agree with the list and the order? What finals performances was/were snubbed? Which one doesn't deserve to be in top 10 uf ever there is/are?

Basically, the title.

How good with Tatum be when he reach his prime (27-30 yrs old)?

In terms of SF,

I highly doubt he will be in Lebron/Larry Tier of SF. As in no way imo.

But after that, it is not impossible imo.

KD, Dr J Tier. Very improbable but not impossible.

Pippen, Kawhi Tier of SF. I think Tatum have a decent chance of reaching this level.

Tatum just scored 51 pts in a closeout game 7 of a playoff round last season. He was able to lead Celtics to multiple Conference Finals. Tatum have a lot of 20,30, and even few 40 pt games in his resume already.

How good will he be in 3-4 years?

If he pan out to be just in Pierce, Tmac tier. Will that be a disappointment?

Last time, we have a cross era matchup of Larry Bird VS Kobe.

Now, we will match up their resective rivals Magic Johnson VS Tim Duncan.

They are both 3x Finals MVP with 5 Championship Rings.

Magic is a 3x MVP while Timmy won it 2x.

Magic is consensusly the best passer/playmaker in the nba history. While Timmy is in discussion with Bill Russell as the best defensive big all time.

However, they are also capable scorers even in the clutch.

But who do you think between them is the better player?

In the last round. Larry Beats Kobe in our reddit matchup.

I wonder what will be the result of this one.

Basically, the title

It is a common saying today in nba that scoring 30 pts today is just the same as scoring 20 pts 20 years ago.

Will the sequence and pattern be the same?

20 years from now in 2040s. Is it possible that 40 pts will be the new 20?

I mean, 40 pts game will be a common occurrence in that decade?

In that rate, by 2060-2070. We will see 50 pts game as normal. Scary.

Ofc, there might be more rules towards offense.

For ex: Adding a 4 pt line

It is a dumb idea for most nba fans. But that is the same opinion of 3pt shot back in 80s. So, maybe history will repeat itself.

And for those saying rules might change to favor defense. Well, no. They never gonna do that. Cause A Normal Nba Casual Fans (most of their customers) doesn't want a 60-55 score in a whole basketball game.

So, are we bound to see 40 pts and 50 pts game being normal in the future?

Basically, the title

What year do you think have the toughest road in eastern conference. What about western conference?

I mean toughest as in most stocked in terms of quantity of great teams and contenders.

Most Lakers/Kobe Fans and Spurs/Duncan Fans will say it is one of the years in 2007-2010 for Western Conference. Do you agree?

What about the East? Old Heads are saying in the 80s, East was actually the stronger conference with Celtics, Sixers, Pistons, Bucks, Hawks, etc. But what particular year?

What about overall eastern/western conference combined? What year is the toughest?

Another interesting matchup.

Both are champions but neither is Finals MVP.

Both are 1 X MVP.

They are both Two way big men that can score and defend.

But who is the better player?

Is it David Robinson who is arguably the third best Center behind Hakeem and Shaq in the 90s?

Or is it KG who is also considered the 3rd best PF behind Timmy and Dirk in the 2000s?

Basically, the title

Who is the best player all time in these categories?

Best Scorer: MJ

Best 3pt Shooter: Steph

Best Midrange Shooter: MJ

Best Free Throw Shooter: Steph

Best Passer/Playmaker: Magic

Best Rebounder: Rodman

Best Perimeter Defender: Pippen/Tony Allen

Best Interior Defender: Bill Russell/Tim Duncan

Best Post Player: Hakeem

Most Athletic: Wilt

Best Ball Handler/Dribbler: Kyrie

Best Hooker: Kareem

I am curious to see what this sub thinks about this matchup. Usually, espn and other media sites put their names in the same tier in 7-10 range.

Who do you think is better between the two players? What about greater?

Bird have 3 Straight MVPs. Kobe only have 1 MVP.

Bird have 3 rings with 2 FMVP. Kobe have 5 rings with 2 FMVP.

But as for skills.

Kobe is the better scorer and defender. He also have the better work ethic. Bird is the better Shooter, Rebounder, and way better Passer.

But overall, who do you think is better and/or greater?

Basically, the title?

Who is the best in terms of Midrange Shooting, Scoring, and Effectiveness?

Is it MJ who uses Midrange as his weapon in Clutch Situations?

Or maybe his carbon copy Kobe?

Or maybe we are overlooking other great players like Dirk, Timmy.

Or maybe 3pt shooters like Steph,Ray, and Klay should be in consideration too?

Or maybe Not All time players but very good players who excel in midrange like Derozan, Hamilton, or Livingston?

Who are your top 3?

Basically, the title.

We saw a lot of 30+ pt games even 40-50 pt games by various different players in the last 3 years. (Even Players like Sadiqq Bey had 52)

Are the players, especially superstars just that talented that the defense best chance is to force them to their most inefficient spots and pray they will miss?

Or, maybe there are some truth that nba rules allow some "carrying" and "travelling" which makes already great players more unstoppable?

Or maybe the pacing of the game is just favored on offense. Cause casual nba fans like high scoring games, and see their favorite players scoring baskets rather than missing due to allowed tougher defense?

Or maybe it is just because of Steph's 3 Pt Revolution Impact?

Or maybe Two or three things can be true at the same time?

Ofc, Superstars in every era will be Superstars in any Era. But aside from transcendental Players (Mjs and Lebrons of the world), In general, players today score more points than yester years.

Why is it easier to score 30 today? Or is it really easier?

Basically, the title.

Will one of Giannis or Joker break the 3x MVP barrier?

Can Joel go back to back now with Harden out and Maxey as his second best player?

Will Luka finally win one?

Or a dark horse Tatum can surprise anyone?

Maybe the old timers in Steph, kd, and Lebron have other things to say?

Additionally, who is your predicted First Team all Nba?

Imo:

Guards: Steph, Luka

Forwards: Jokic, Embiid, (Tatum or Kd)

What about yours?

Tyrese Maxey- 32.5 ppg, 7.5 apg, 5.5 rpg

Tyrse Haliburton - 20.5 ppg, 12 apg, 5.5 rpg

The Two players named Tyrese are balling this season. They are almost the same age 22-23 yrs old. Both rising stars.

Maybe, the Name "Tyrese" means good in basketball!!!!

But

Who is the better basketball player right now?

Who do you think will be the better player when both reach their primes?

Jokic and Giannis will add MVPs, Rings, and Fmvps. That will elevate them to Top 20-15 all time discussion.
