Well done, lads...well done

I hate to say it, but I am starting to appreciate Brooks embracing and leaning into the heel/villain role with such absurd dedication and corny/cringe verve.
Phillip Rivers entire family can hang their laundry on that clothesline.
I hate this post.
He did this shit for a while last season where he was simply the best player in the league and I guess got fatigued from the massive carry job and everyone seemed to forget he was the early MVP favorite after the Mavs fell out and shit the bed the rest of the way.
Dude is just an incredible player and not someone who is going to out-athlete anyone. despite him being the 'enemy' to my team (local and historical rival), gotta give him his props. He's a killer.
This always amazes me. NBA players that seem tiny are above average height. Many, many years ago I had floor seats to a Spurs game and during pregame, an errant ball came to me and I tossed it back to Vinny Del Negro. (told ya it was many years ago, lol) and mfer is 6'4"...but is just an undersized 2-guard by NBA standards.
YOU CLOWNS ARE ALLOWED ONE MORE YEAR TO BE HALF A TICK ABOVE MEDIOCRE BEFORE CRASHING TO ROCK BOTTOM AND FORKING OVER THOSE JUICY, UNPROTECTED PICKS
He probably would still have left SA, though possibly on better terms than the shit show that it ended up being. It might have changed nothing. the GSW were stacked and even if they win that game 1, it doesn't mean they win the series. It could have played out almost exactly the same way it did.
there are tons of conspiracy theories and nuance to that whole shit show that I am sick of thinking about so meh. Some fans seem to think a huge lead in game 1 means we would have won the series and it means nothing of the sort. It was a critical turning point, the injury, but you cannot assume changing history right there. GSW was fucking loaded.
This, unfortunately. I mean, you never know, but the hunger that team had to avenge that loss was like nothing I can recall ever seeing in the NBA (as a biased Spurs homer). They lost in the first round in 2015. (Granted, CP3 played out of his mind at his absolute peak, even with an injury and Kawhi had a mediocre series)
Sabonis was...not the same player by the time he finally made it to the NBA. Impossible to say for sure, but his theoretical upside and playstyle is current Jokic.
Mario Hezonja. Taken #5, leaving Booker, Myles Turner, Oubre, Rozier, Portis, Looney, and more on the board.
Sigh, I'll throw this out before someone else does: Joshua Primo.
Eh, at the risk of being overly pithy, the bottom line is that when you have the most wins in NBA history, all for your current team and have brought 5 titles to a city having no business being a long time contender, much less 22-23 seasons worth of it, you've pretty much have earned the ability to do whatever the fuck you want. If that means running Sochan out there at point, respect the balls to make a hard call and stick it out.
Just guessing because maybe they really do want to turn Jeremy into Ben Simmons but not a diva with back problems, but I think they are throwing him into the fire with the expectation he will come out the other side as a blend of Boris Diaw at his athletic peak and Draymond but slightly less crazy/mean/dirty. Capable of running the offense in spurts but being a secondary playmaker on the wing while a lock down defender on the other end.
Eventually, I think Pop sends Keldon to the 6th man role, they spend draft picks on a PG this off season, and go from there.
I don't think we are quite THIS bad. There has been a lack of effort and loss of confidence as evidenced by some absurd blowouts. That's the discouraging part, but here again, Pop is challenging them. Teams adjust and try to take you out of what you want to do. He's driving them to shore up the weakest parts of their game instead of running a steady diet of "fuck it, Wemby down there somewhere"
Trust in Pop. Always.
