Using EPM after 20% of the season feels like a weird choice given how much sample size matters for these kind of stats even compared to raw stats. As well as how they're so situation-dependent, as in Cade in Barnes situation would obviously not be putting up half the shots that he's putting up in Detroit given the other talents on the team.

Mike Shanahan's offense was plenty favorable to QBs. If there were social media back then people would be talking all about how Shanahan made Brian Griese viable and Jake Plummer into a Pro Bowl QB. He was just terrible at scouting QBs... a trait that his son actually kinda share if you think about it.

The problem with guys like Minshew is that he's proven that he's not capable of being an above average starter, which is pretty much minimum needed to have a chance to contend for a Super Bowl.

Sure, guys likes Fields and Young are probably worse, but they're still young and can rise to that level until proven otherwise. It's the upside that keeps many of these young QBs starting. Should the day come when it's evident these guys can't ever be more than below average starter, they too will be forgotten in the discourse.

Didn't Kawhi basically quit on Pop? And I can't even imagine Harden under Pop's tutelage. I'm not saying Pop isn't a great coach, but I'm not sure this is the roster that he's suited for.

If I won the lottery, I'd have a lot more money.

This is the PFF grades fwiw. Keep in mind that PFF does rank based on what they think the line will be for the upcoming week. Rather than aggregate performance.

1 Lions 2 Ravens 3 Colts 4 Eagles 5 Vikings 6 Falcons 7 Cowboys 8 Chiefs 9 Dolphins 10 Bills 11 Texans 12 Bucs 13 Broncos 14 Raiders 15 Browns 16 Steelers 17 Saints 18 Packers 19 Jaguars 20 Niners 21 Commanders 22 Chargers 23 Bengals 24 Bears 25 Seahawks 26 Patriots 27 Rams 28 Cardinals 29 Panthers 30 Giants

This comparison is as disingenuous as it gets. I was wondering why you used first 4 starts of last year vs. first 10 starts of this year. Turns out last year first 10 games, Butler attempted 2.5 3pg at 37% clip.

Man I used to think Frank Reich's offense was pretty dope back when he first went to Indy. Now it look so outdated. No wonder he keeps asking for vet QBs at Indy. He needs the QB to bail out his offense and not for his offense to help out his QB.
