I really love when NBA players try to pretend like Embiid isn't the worst flopper in the history of the game. Like, it's an open secret but they still act like he doesn't do it.

Spurs reek but Wemby got some nice stops on Jokić so I'm moved.

Yep, I was told he's in that MJ/LeBron level tier.

Why would Thunder fans and Rockets fans hate each other? I'm guessing Harden and Russ play major roles in this?

Bucks fan. Rooting for the Spurs because of Wemby.

Makes sense. San Antonio gets blown out like crazy.

It's hilarious that people still think he'll improve massively like he isn't already near his peak. Eventually he'll be 30 and y'all will still be talking about dude like he's 19.

I think he could be one day. On the contrary, I think he's much closer to his peak than people would like to admit. Just go take a look at his impact stats year-by-year, there haven't been any noticeable jumps since 2020.

That's in spite of the fact that he's added more wrinkles to his game like finishing better, shooting 3s better, using the post more, having an in-between game, etc.

Yes with all respect to Spurs fans. Vic is mostly an off-ball big on both ends of the floor, you need the right personnel for the specific talent.

Offensively, the Spurs have no guard to feed him nor do they have the spacing to open up rolls and punish teams who commit too hard.

Defensively, the Spurs don't have a strong rim protector to allow him to roam effectively nor do they have the perimeter defense to keep him as the low man.

Charlotte would've been a great fit for him. Melo would always feed him and he could effectively roam alongside a rim protector like Mark Williams.

Anytime a star's name is floated in trade discussions, people always act like a team has to gut their roster and throw away all their future picks just to even entertain the idea of a trade.

KD was traded for Mikal, Cam, four picks, and a pick swap.

AD was traded for BI, Zo, Hart, and three picks.

Jimmy was traded for LaVine, Dunn, and a pick. He was also traded for RoCo, Dario Šarić and Jerryd Bayless.

Harden was traded for Simmons, Curry, Drummond, and two picks.

Dame was traded for Jrue, Grayson Allen, two picks, and a pick swap.

PG was traded for Oladipo and Sabonis — before they were stars.

Kawhi was traded for DeMar, Poeltl, and a pick.

Kyrie was traded for DFS, Dinwiddie, and a pick.

Mitchell was traded for Sexton, Ochai Ogbaji, Markkanen — before he broke out — and three picks as well as two swaps.

CP3 got traded for PatBev, LouWill, five bums, and a pick. Also, CP3 — even after his resurgence in OKC — was traded for Oubre, Rubio, and a pick.

Like, the biggest deal I just listed was the KD trade and that's because he's Kevin Durant. Of course, there are gargantuan deals like Harden to the Nets and PG to the Clippers...but more often than not, all it takes is a disgruntled star, 2 or 3 solid players, and about as many picks to get a deal done.

The Gobert deal really did do irreversible damage to the way star trades are perceived.

This whole post is in reference to the people who act like a trade package of Randle, Barrett, Robinson, and three picks for Embiid is somehow an awful deal as if that's not par for the course when examining other trades involving stars.
