You can have a ligament strain without tearing it. I think everyone agrees if it was really torn he would not have played. It seems a little suspicious though that the first time anyone saw him in that sleeve was right before a game where he had a season ending injury. My thoughts are more that he had a strain to the ligament (which normally he would be able to play through but got his hand smashed under the d lineman) however I’m no doctor and it’s all speculation at this point. Either way I feel bad for the dude and hope IF there was a previous injury that it doesn’t mean he’s worse off down the line

I feel like you guys keep throwing money at good lineman I genuinely don’t understand how it’s consistently so bad

I have a couple theories on this tbh,

1. CTE- a lot of these guys have symptoms of cte alarmingly early and it can cause mental deficits (can’t be slow to process info and call plays as a head coach)

2. Pride- a lot of athletes watching players do what they used to be able to do but can’t anymore can be painful, and a lot of these guys have the mind set that they are the absolute best and to not be able to compete at all can be crushing

3. general intelligence- this could go hand in hand with the cte issue, but football players a lot of the time aren’t known for being exactly cerebral (not saying all I’m just talking about a stereotype)

4. Boredom-Doing the same thing for the entirety of your life with few to no other interests will burn a person out, might just be time for a change

Stroud=Herbert (gunslinger out of the gate)

Young=tua (no help at all, some struggles but some flashes too)

Richardson=burrow (really good start to the season but got hurt early and will h fortunately be out for the year)

Levis=hurts (drafter a bit later so sometimes gets forgotten but is still playing really well)
