You can switch between straps and bracelet easily on the hydro. I don't think oris can do the same.

I think most watches come with a 1.5mm to 1.8mm spring bar and they are strong enough. Or you can try to install a ferule/sleeve (i forgot the name of it) for the spring bar. It is a metal tube that is usually placed inside the lug end of a leather strap or bracelet as structure to make way for the spring bar.

I can say that Hamilton makes good watches. At the same price point, it offers a better build than tissot.

For below $1000, I'd prefer going pre-owned. Many entry luxury collections can be found below 1k. I found the entry level tissot felt cheap. Instead of tissot gentlemen, I'd prefer hamilton jazzmaster.
