/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Remember that diversity and coexistence are Star Trek values. Any post/comments that are racist, anti-LGBT, or generally "othering" of a group will result in removal/ban.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon'

~ 8. No Political Upheaval. Political commentary is allowed, but please keep discussions civil. Read here for our community's expectations.

Fun will now commence.

dont forget the trickster god character who shows up to teach Picard valuable lessons a few times a season

you know, Loki

i mean Mxyptlk

i mean Hermes

i mean Anansi

damn what was his name? Omnipotent, sows chaos, acts as an on again off again antogonist, can warp reality to his will, teleport and shapeshift......

Bugs Bunny

So then other Q is Daffy Duck. Makes sense.

[–] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 8 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I could have used 10 times more Corbin Bernsen throughout the series (And no. He is L.A. Law Guy)

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago (2 children)

I like to think of him as Uppety 3rd Baseman Who Can't Commit.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I think of him as an ex-cop with a psychic son.

I’m definitely on your team here.

I'm currently watching psych, god thats a good show.

[–] TexasDrunk@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

I'm going to share something that you may know, but I certainly didn't realize back when I watched it the first time.

Psych is the Sherlock Holmes formula with his dad playing a Mycroft-like role.

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Shawn's dad suuuuucks though.

Often, anyway.

[–] dumbass@leminal.space 1 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

His dad is a splitting image of my dad, but way nicer than my dad, so I kinda think he's cool, he's like my dad if he wasn't a massive dickhead.

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

Wait, Corbin's character is NICER than your dad? If so, I'm sorry.

He's a pretty awful father. Even if he does occasionally supports his son and trained him well.

[–] BowtiesAreCool@lemmy.world 4 points 3 months ago

I’ve heard it both ways

Good ol' Howlin' Mad Broccoli.

Should put Deanna as Jean Grey version 0.1 since she sits beside Professor X and has 1/10 Jean's powers.

[–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 10 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) (1 children)

She wishes she had 1/10th of Jean greys power.

Deanna "can understand what a frown means" Troi has got nothing on Jean "I'm the Phoenix force, bitch!" Grey.

[–] Klear@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

She's not constantly dead tho.

[–] mosiacmango@lemm.ee 1 points 3 months ago

Being able to consistently come back from the dead isn't exactly a weakness.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 15 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Data can't possibly be the best character in a show with the most important man in Starfleet history in it.

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 10 points 3 months ago (1 children)

In TNG he's mostly transporter/exposition man. By DS9, he makes his mark.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Are you suggesting that he's not the main character on TNG?!

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

If anyone can change the universal constant to revolve around them, it's O'Brien.

[–] Bishma@discuss.tchncs.de 6 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Lady Not Appearing In This Picture

I would vote to changing Wesley to "my first gay crush" because good lord have I met a lot of gay men (myself included) who were in love with Wesley as young little baby gays

[–] Zerlyna@lemmy.world 9 points 3 months ago

Gotta admit I simped for Riker at 13 and still do (49). 🥰

[–] Emmie@lemm.ee 6 points 3 months ago

This is so amazing guys I love you

[–] z00s@lemmy.world 6 points 3 months ago

I reckon that Worf was the most well developed character in that era of Trek due to his personal stories across both TNG and DS9, so Data might be favourite, but I say Worf is best.
