Thank God this meme was muted. I had my volume on max and that mouse would have blown out my eardrums.

But seriously, please just spend the 10 seconds it takes to reverse image search and find a better copy, or ideally the original so you can link to the creator's post.

I hate that the AI slop that copied this style is ruining my ability to enjoy the original

I find the unbalanced microfuge triggering.

[–] NorthernDreams@lemmy.world 11 points 13 hours ago

Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.

I got this vibe from fridge. One of the reasons I often put some frozen hornets in those, no packaging. Deters people from doing stupid things.

This is the first thing I saw. I'm so triggered. I have a broken centerfuge lid on my desk rn that unbalanced everything for years. I think I'm going to keep it to remind me that "this too shall pass."

[–] BodyBySisyphus@hexbear.net 2 points 15 hours ago

I'm glad it's not just me

[–] pigup@lemmy.world 12 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

You can tell this is accurate because there are no brown people involved.

[–] alzymologist@sopuli.xyz 7 points 14 hours ago

Nah, top left is totally one of them hardcore STEM ladies from Uruguay

[–] MeowZedong@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 14 hours ago

They're all in the lab working ridiculously long hours.

[–] djmikeale@lemm.ee 18 points 18 hours ago

all you had to do was follow the god-damn experimental design, CJ

Who's the bigger villain: Trump or Reviewer #2?

[–] rustydrd@sh.itjust.works 4 points 12 hours ago

Reviewer 2 didn't read my paper and makes it my problem. Trump didn't read a book in his life and makes it the world's problem.

[–] StalinIsMaiWaifu@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 19 hours ago

Reviewer #2, he's in it for the love of the game, Trump is doing this for money

[–] KindnessIsPunk@lemmy.ca 3 points 15 hours ago

This would make a great sequel to Bully

[–] Pipster@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

Parafilm representation! I love that stuff. I totally, absolutely didn't used to completely mummify samples we sent away to the miserable dicks at our sister lab...

[–] SoleInvictus@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 14 hours ago

I just love the feeling of when it stretches.

[–] Kyle_The_G@lemmy.world 4 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I love the stuff. There are so many tools I use that I'd love at home, parafilm is one of them. The other is a hot plate/magnetic stir bar I'd use for soup/cooking.

[–] alzymologist@sopuli.xyz 2 points 14 hours ago

They are awful for cooking, believe me, I have a home lab.

Induction hobs are great for lab though, except for glass vessels, of course.

So we're normalising AI-made memes now,eh?

I guess we now know what the AI has been trained on

[–] villainy@lemmy.world 21 points 17 hours ago

How have you determined that this is AI? The proliferation of actual AI slop is bad enough without people out here claiming everything is slop.

I'm just here for a laugh, dont care how its made but this is probably not AI (website and insta with previous drawings, and the only detector I trust says not AI). Shame to see you spread hate and then hit an actual artist with it.

what makes you think this is ai?

[–] Outdoor_Catgirl@hexbear.net 1 points 12 hours ago

Vibes, mostly

[–] Binette@lemmy.ml 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

not the same guy, but bottom-right image has inconsistencies in how one would usually render water.

the bottom puddle covers the line it goes over from, while the top puddle doesn't

[–] Zetta@mander.xyz 10 points 16 hours ago* (last edited 16 hours ago)

This aint AI bud, someone already provided source website and also look at the text on the parafilm. Image models are getting much better at text but all that small text on the parafilm packaging is too good for ai. Also on the parafilm it has the creators website written out.
