Elon Musk has finally addressed reports that his name is included in a newly released batch of Epstein files.

Sharing a story from U.K. outlet Sky News, which ran with the simple headline “Elon Musk and Prince Andrew Named in the Latest Epstein Files Release,” the Tesla CEO fired off an enraged tweet.

“Shame on Sky News for this utterly misleading headline,” Musk wrote. “Anyone pushing this false narrative deserves complete contempt.”

“Epstein tried to get me to go to his island and I REFUSED,” Musk continued, “yet they name me even before Prince Andrew, who did visit.”

The “false narrative” in question is presumably Sky’s decision to float Musk’s name ahead of Andrew’s; the Daily Beast has reached out to Musk’s representatives for further clarification.

Musk’s name does indeed appear in the latest batch of documents released by Democrats on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.

“Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?)” reads a note found in a 2014 diary of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The revelation comes from a fresh haul of previously unreleased material pertaining to the Epstein investigation, which has continued to dog the Trump administration.

Musk has previously said that he was invited to Epstein’s compound on Little St. James in the Virgin Islands several times, but claims he turned down the offers.

In a statement to Vanity Fair in 2019, just days after Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges, Musk confirmed that he had visited the disgraced financier’s Manhattan townhouse for about 30 minutes several years previously, but that “Epstein is obviously a creep.” He added, “He tried repeatedly to get me to visit his island. I declined.”

In an interview with the Department of Justice in August, British socialite and longtime Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, said she first met Musk in 2010 or 2011, during a multi-day stay on a Caribbean island for Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s birthday.

She also said she later saw Musk at an Oscars event, seemingly referring to a Vanity Fair Oscars party on March 2, 2014, where she and Musk were photographed together. The aspiring trillionaire has previously explained that image by saying he did not know Maxwell and that she had “photobombed” him.

Maxwell did not have any knowledge of a deeper relationship between Epstein and Musk, but believed emails between the two men were uncovered during discovery.

In June, Musk, the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, fell out with his buddy President Donald Trump in spectacular fashion. At the height of their spat, Musk wrote in a now-deleted tweet that Trump “is in the Epstein files.” He has since retracted the statement and apologized, saying that he “went too far.”

Others named in the latest round of Epstein file disclosures include Musk’s former colleague and right-wing billionaire, Peter Thiel, and Trump’s former chief strategist, Steve Bannon.

Further documents are expected to be released as Congress prepares to vote on a bipartisan bill that would require full disclosure in the Epstein case.

So, he admits he knew about the island?

Even if he said he didn't go, doesn't that make him an accomplice at least?

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 14 points 8 hours ago

Fuck Elon, and all the rest of those MAGA psychopaths. He went there, they all went there, they all raped little girls, and now they're all lying about it.

I'm safe, because I never went there, so I want it all released. The ONLY reason you wouldn't want them released is because you or a friend is in them.

[–] Dorkyd68@lemmy.world 28 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

I hate elon. He's an evil moron. With that said, I believe him. They are releasing fake info to take the heat off of Trump who is 100% guilty of going to the island and raping minors

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 17 points 9 hours ago

I hate his guts, but his denial is plausible with the information we have so far. His word means nothing, however, so I simply don't know at this point whether he went to the island or not.

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 11 points 12 hours ago

"My ketamine dick can't function, even for the sexiest kids"

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

He says he refused, but the note held the connotation that he was going to partake of the island but had to cancel for something else. So, did he dodge a bullet or did he miss out on one of his regular visits?

[–] EtherWhack@lemmy.world 14 points 14 hours ago (3 children)

Maybe he didn't go that time, but with the wording it looks like it could've been a scheduling issue. So, until all the files are public and due to the handling, people listed will just be in gray areas of assumption.

[–] EightBitBlood@lemmy.world 14 points 13 hours ago (4 children)

A single journalist with Balls just needs to ask Elon:

"WHY didn't you go to the island when asked?"

Because Elon is a moron, and there's not a single logical answer in existence that doesn't imply his guilt.

It's either: scheduling issue (Guilty)

OR what he's implying:

He didn't go because he knew what was happening there. (Which also means he's Guilty)

If Elon knew what was happening there and did nothing, he's not only just as guilty, but admitting to turning a blind eye to it.

I swear all the world's wealthiest individuals are complete idiots.

[–] Tigeroovy@lemmy.ca 3 points 4 hours ago

They are all idiots because they're just the worst kind of nepo babies.

[–] Bassman1805@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I mean, it's not that hard. "I got weird vibes when I met him and wasn't interested in visiting his island". Distances oneself without admitting that you know any specifics about why he's creepy.

It's really not the slam dunk you're making it out to be.

[–] EightBitBlood@lemmy.world 1 points 7 hours ago

Do you understand the concept on an INVITE? Musk was INVITED to pedo Island.

Invites are usually sent to people you KNOW. Who you WANT to attend what the invite is FOR.

Weddings come to mind as a great example. Wedding Invites are sent to those who will likely attend the wedding, and who know it's a wedding they are attending.

So what was Musks invite for exactly? Surfing?

Keep in mind, with the way invites work, it means that everyone else who recieved an invite, around the same time, all got one asking them to come do the same thing on that island. And it wasn't surfing.

But I guess there's a small chance that Musk is the only billionaire within his entire friend group who was invited to Epstein Island to fly helicopters and not fuck kids.

That invite was certainly not his first.

Unless you really believe he enjoyed the "kung-fu" lessons he took from Ghislain Maxwell, and the invite was for more of them while everyone else on the island was being a pedophile.

[–] QuoVadisHomines@sh.itjust.works 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

By 2014 Epstein had been arrested so I knew what was going on there. Does that make me complicit in his crimes as well or does it mean I followed the news?

[–] EightBitBlood@lemmy.world 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Depends on if you were invited to his island my dude. Were you?

Because that's the difference between you and Musk that very much indicates his guilt.

You think those invites go out to people who DON'T know what's happening on that island?

If so, why did Musk decline the offer? Unless, you know, he knew what was happening there, and what the invite was for.

Musk was INVITED to PEDO ISLAND. Full stop. That's a fact. His excuse is that he "declined" to go.

Which very much indicates he already knew what was happening there, at least ENOUGH TO RECIEVE AN INVITE that he has admitted to. His excuse further implies he knew more than that since he declined the invite. Why?

Literally, what is his excuse for the declined invite?

There is literally no single excuse that exists that doesnt indicate his guilt of at least knowing what was happening on that island and doing nothing about it.

[–] QuoVadisHomines@sh.itjust.works 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

Musk was invited 6 years after Epstein’s first arrest. Again Musk could have known simply because it was in the news.

Bannon, Windsor, and Thiel all went after the first trial.

[–] EightBitBlood@lemmy.world 0 points 8 hours ago

Cool. Do you understand the concept of an INVITATION? He was still INVITED there. WHY? What was that invite FOR?

Fun in the sun?

Innocent people do not suddenly receive an Invite to pedo party island.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 1 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

If Elon knew what was happening there and did nothing, he’s not only just as guilty, but admitting to turning a blind eye to it.

Look, on general principle I agree with you, but Elon might've realized that Epstein is a Mossad asset. I'd be turning a blind eye too if it meant not being assassinated.

Or more likely, it was indeed a scheduling issue lol

[–] EightBitBlood@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

Elon is not that smart of a man. At least not smart enough to avoid being invited to PEDO ISLAND by a Mossad agent.

Assuming even the best of Musk, turning a blind eye to that kind of atrocity is not a quality worth looking up to. Even to prevent your own death. It's cowardly. Period. Especially from someone with enough resources to stop it AND likely stay safe.

If I'm to be assassinated, it would be best to have that come as a result of freeing children trapped in an international pedo ring. Even more so if I have billions at my disposal to do so.

Musk, at best, by your own definition, is a giant pussy for not doing this.

Because he's likely going to be assassinated anyway. Likely from being stupidly tricked into fucking with American elections and databases for Trump instead of freeing children from Pedophiles.

Not a man worth respecting.

TL;DR Musk has a Tony Stark PFP and wants to be an Iron Man hero while using none of his wealth or resources to stop pedophiles because he's too scawed.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 1 points 10 hours ago* (last edited 10 hours ago) (1 children)

I have no doubt he’s a pussy. But who in their right mind WOULD knowingly open up about a Mossad pedo ring? You’d just die and they’d have another one running by next week, they have plenty of dirt on a lot of people to make it happen. No children actually get saved but your entire family will think you were a pedo, potentially ruining their lives too. Of course to cover tracks, any children on P island would likely be incinerated. Not that they were going to live long happy lives before.

Also this is 2014 Elon. Not nearly as smart as he wanted to seem, but he still preserved some instinct of self-preservation back then I believe. It was before he decided to publicly support fascists.

I’m just saying, if this thing goes as deep as it seems, the only real way to take it down is to destroy or restructure Israel altogether, not uncover one or two replaceable assets. The whole agency needs to go.

This is what anyone in this situation is going to tell themselves anyway. People don’t like dying.

[–] EightBitBlood@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago

Let me ask -

Who do YOU feel is supposed to open up about a pedo ring and Mossad? Who exactly is supposed to fix these things Musk and others always turn a blind eye to?

Because. FYI. Paying attention to these things is how they're stopped.

Not through the complacency you're advocating. And certainly not through the complacency of those who have the most power to stop it.

If Musk wanted to be the hero he thinks he is, he could have literally destabilized Israel with this information in 2014, using social media and an army of Lawyers to prove it. It worked on Harvey Weinstein in 2014. It could have worked here too.

Because 2014 wasn't nearly as astroturffed with false information as 2025.

Taking down Israel / Mossad / Pedos sure would have been nice to have happen before they started a genocide. But hindsight is 20/20, and I guess you feel it best that Musk turned a blind eye and never bothered to try fucking with Israel before it got this bad?

Who else do you give a pass to for turning a blind eye and never trying?

I don't understand how you think this is somehow a better look for Musk than him actually wanting to fuck kids. Knowing that was happening there and doing nothing is just as bad if not worse imo.

Because ignoring horrible crimes is how they get worse. That's why 2025 is so awful.

The thought that Musk knew what was happening there and chose to do nothing is certainly plausible, but that makes him even more of an immoral asshole imo.

[–] Knock_Knock_Lemmy_In@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

I think we should assume all politicians and people in power attended until the Epstein files are released.

[–] cley_faye@lemmy.world 2 points 12 hours ago

Maybe he didn’t go that time

Maybe it was home delivery.

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 3 points 10 hours ago

If doj is the source of the documents the dems use, that info should automatically be suspect

[–] WanderWisley@lemmy.world 15 points 17 hours ago

The REAL reason why Elon is in the Epstein files is because he fucks children, just like his dad and just like his daddy Donny.

[–] Jaysyn@lemmy.world 14 points 17 hours ago

Because he's a pedo, just like his dad.

[–] popcornpizza@lemmy.blahaj.zone 31 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

but that “Epstein is obviously a creep.” He added, “He tried repeatedly to get me to visit his island. I declined.”

🤔 Wait, so he made the connection and didn't say anything?

Even his lies make him look bad.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 5 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

So, I'll preface this by saying that Elon is almost certainly a pedo anyway (the whole cave incident just seems 100% like projection already, before we even take the whole Epstein thing into account).

But there are also credible reasons to believe Epstein was a Mossad asset, compromising pedos in powerful positions so they could be used when Israel needs something from them. I say this because Ghislaine Maxwell's father has an interesting past and she's the one that's being accused of supplying him with the kids. Blackmail is also a famous Mossad tactic.

Anyone who knew who he was wouldn't have told on him because you could get suicided real quick that way. Or evidence of you being a pedo could surface even if you weren't one.

[–] popcornpizza@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 11 hours ago

I could believe it if he was a nobody, but Musk was very famous and rich already. He was being name-dropped in every show and movie, everything he did and said was plastered everywhere, and was having great publicity with "his" companies.

If he got killed after going public back then, nothing would have been gained by the Maxwells except place a spotlight on themselves.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 10 points 20 hours ago* (last edited 20 hours ago) (3 children)

I'm not a fan of musk but if his statement is true he could've just not realised the flavour of creep he was and just didn't want anything to do with his island harem, but at the time also not knowing they were kids so didn't feel alarmed enough to speak up?

[–] fodor@lemmy.zip 6 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Look, he just had the chance to explain himself clearly. But he did not, even though he has years of public speaking experience. So instead, you are imagining what he could have said. That usually suggests you are getting manipulated.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 1 points 7 hours ago

I'm not getting manipulated. I'm just playing devil's advocate

[–] iAvicenna@lemmy.world 17 points 20 hours ago (4 children)

He donated a sizeable fraction of a billion to a guy whom he said is in the Epstein files, and the latter only after they had a falling-out. So yea, I won't really believe his words on the matter.

[–] MrScottyTay@sh.itjust.works 5 points 17 hours ago

That's fair. I was just playing devil's advocate. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he turns out he's a true diddler

The guy who accuses everyone of being pedos didn't realize the "obvious" creep with his own island was a pedo? 🤔 Hmmmm...

[–] itztalal@lemmings.world 23 points 20 hours ago

The real problem is that he didn't address this, or Epstein, sooner. None of them did.

It's all reactionary and the little people have to find out for themselves how they've been funneling billions of dollars to child rapists.

If you're not seeing more and more every day to convince you why the average idiot shouldn't be taken seriously, then you can't be helped.

[–] AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world 5 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

He didn't go because they wouldn't let him impregnate all the girls there, since that's his only fetish.

[–] SpatchyIsOnline@lemmy.world 5 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

Nah, for Elon to get someone pregnant, it has to be done through IVF to make sure the child is male, because he's a sexist too

apple don’t fall from the tree

[–] RhondaSandTits@lemmy.sdf.org 15 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Glad that's been cleared up because here I was, thinking that Elon Musk is a pedo guy who fucks kids on Epstein Island.

[–] Brimstone@lemmy.ml 21 points 21 hours ago

Remember when he called that cave diver a pedo?

Yeah every accusation from the right is a confession still holding true!

[–] Octavio@lemmy.world 1 points 13 hours ago

That’s probably not why.
