Some MAGA supporters who paid for Donald Trump watches are seriously ticked off. The majority of reviews for GetTrumpWatches on Trustpilot give the company just one star, with some people complaining that it is a “scam.”

The timepieces are made by TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC and range from $499 to $2,999 per watch, or $5,389 for the “Ultra Mega Collector Set.” The president has been criticized for hawking them on cable TV as a government shutdown drags on over healthcare funding.

On Jan. 8 Lemme be Frank, from Switzerland—a country famed for its watches—wrote, “Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not buy any of these garbage products. Avoid like the plague!!”

Trump: "I can't believe they fell for it. What marooons."

He'll probably sell them toasters that burn down their houses next.

[–] Tigeroovy@lemmy.ca 3 points 21 hours ago

Honestly maybe best case scenario.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 8 points 22 hours ago (5 children)

Why am I FORCED to share oxygen with these idiots?

[–] GenosseFlosse@feddit.org 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Go on stage of some "alternative medicine" platform, and announce that your $200 carbon monoxide breathing mask and bottle cures cancer, hair loss and impotence. dont forget your affiliate program, so influencers can get a cut for promoting your highly dangerous and potentially deadly scam.

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 1 points 6 hours ago

You're white, right? You'd have to be my face as I don't think as a black dude, they would believe me. You OK with 15%?

THEY STILL DON'T BLAME TRUMP. It's fucking incredible. They're literally incapable of thinking he could do something wrong.

[–] MystikIncarnate@lemmy.ca 7 points 21 hours ago

Who are they blaming? The cheap watch maker, that everyone knows makes cheap watches and shouldn't be surprised at all that the watches that they made are cheap?

Gasp what horrible company would try to sabotage the president like that?

(/s ... in case it wasn't obvious)

“My daughters ordered a Trump watch and after 5 months of waiting have not received anything. It’s a shame this company is not holding to President Trump’s high standards. This was a present for my 80th birthday!” wrote one MAGA supporter on July 14.

Nope, no intelligence was found here.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 99 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This is the closest that recipient will get to a direct interaction with Trump. The only thing that could make it a more accurate analog would be their daughters getting sexually assaulted/harassed, and then called a liar who isn't attractive enough to get sexually assaulted.

Do not buy any of these garbage products. Avoid like the plague!!

We all know most of these fools did not in fact avoid the plague.

"Avoid like the plague!!"

MAGA: Okay, got it, I'm gonna intentionally buy them just to try to piss people off with no regard for the safety of myself or others.

They've been treating these things like they treat the plague from the start, actually.

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 day ago

If they re furious at Trump they ain't MAGA, just fake MAGA fools with no sense of value. Real MAGA would not be able to afford baby formula due to this monetary tithe to their living God.

Some MAGA supporters who paid for Donald Trump watches are seriously ticked off.

Great start already lol

Temu quality, Rolex prices. Sounds like a Trump enterprise to me.

These people are un-teachable. This kind of immunity to learning from experience should be considered a mental illness.

[–] Supervisor194@lemmy.world 46 points 1 day ago (4 children)

"I wish President Trump could be notified how bad this is..."

Even unteachable is somehow too charitable. In the middle of eating the shit he is spoon feeding them, they believe 100% that he has nothing to do with it and doesn't even know about it. These people are absolutely braindead.

I listened to an interview with a Trump-voting farmer who was suffering because of tariffs. She knew tariffs were the problem. She stated repeatedly that tariffs were the problem. She could not bring herself to the logical endpoint in that ultimately this was Trump's fault, instead blaming "the government" for it. They are not ever going to be productive members of society unless they can be deprogrammed from the cult.

Fool me 10 times, shame on you. Fool me 11 times, big shame on you. This 12th deal better be damn good to make up for all that!

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 19 points 1 day ago

The sunk cost presidency.

[–] RattlerSix@lemmy.world 40 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Everybody that knows anything about watches knows these come from websites where you can design them in a browser, pick the components and have them shipped from China. Most of them had $50 Seiko NH35/36 movements. Good movements, but you can get them in a much better $200 watch.

[–] MML@sh.itjust.works 34 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Well as long as it can tell my political affiliation does it really need to tell time?

TheBestWatchesonEarth LLC lol That's such a scam name I can't understand how anyone wouldn't think it's a scam. It might as well be called TotallyLegitBusinessThatsNotAScam.
