Zero promoted businesses in my zip code.

Nice.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Yep. I've been looking at that site for any businesses near me to know what to avoid.

[–] 2ugly2live@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Only had two places in my area (heavy POC area so... Awkward), but I've left my "review." I've never been to either place, but at least I know who they are so I can keep avoiding.

It's hilarious. There's a bunch of reviews on Yelp/Google maps calling those businesses out in my city.

Want to support MAGA? Tough.

Is it just me or does Don Jr. Look like Harry Ellis from Die Hard? Only with even less charisma and double the sleaze.

[–] Dragonstaff@leminal.space 11 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Go fash, lose cash.

Complete tangent:

“PublicSquare is basically the Green Book, but for conservatives,” this TikTok user, who goes by dapper.delinquent, says in his video. “The Green Book was a book passed around Black communities that was a list of stores and businesses that were safe for Black People to use. PublicSquare is the same thing for conservatives.”

If you make an analogy, then have to explain the thing you are comparing the first thing with, what is the point of the analogy?

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 2 points 1 hour ago

Not only that, but what the fuck is wrong with conservatives that don't feel "safe" at other places? How are they even the least fucking bit in danger of anything?

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 11 points 2 hours ago

what is the point of the analogy?

it's a historical example , which not everyone is aware of. those who know understand faster, those who don't learn more about events that actually took place.

Damn a restaurant I like is on this stupid site. It's surprising because most of the stuff in my area that's on here is like realtors, explicitly right wing businesses with patriot in the name, or like when you go in there it's all thin blue line flags and shit. This is just a normal restaurant with normal decor. I'm not really surprised the owners are apparently Trumpy, pretty much all the business owners in my area are, I'm just surprised to see them on this site

[–] SocialMediaRefugee@lemmy.world 14 points 15 hours ago

Hah! I appreciate them making it easy on me. Mostly just real estate offices on it near me.

Full on ROFL.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 25 points 17 hours ago

wake up honey, new BDS list just dropped.

but seriously I like that there's a list of "maga friendly businesses"... because up until now the fascism has been too subtle.

Suspicion of "gang related" seems to be the excuse they use to deport the quickest.

[–] Saledovil@sh.itjust.works 24 points 18 hours ago

I have communed with the dead, and they told me that there's gang related activity happening in those businesses.

[–] brognak@lemm.ee 50 points 22 hours ago (12 children)

I wanted a similar site but to track houses with Trump signs up. Have to upload pictures for the record, and cross referenced with MLS listings/sales so everything is expunged on property transfer.

No particular reason to keep this info around. Just a curiosity.

[–] MdPhoenix@lemm.ee 28 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

That would drive them absolutely batshit insane

[–] brognak@lemm.ee 19 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

In my head I called it The Scarlet Letter and the logo was a giant red burning T.

Not that I have put thought into it or anything 😅

[–] Bytemeister@lemmy.world 15 points 20 hours ago

Burning T...

Time... Time to go...

Public square.com is the name of this website

[–] CptOblivius@lemmy.world 12 points 20 hours ago (3 children)

Scheele's, a big sporting good store, is on there. I switched to other options.

[–] cujo255@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 hours ago

Odd, the Scheele's by us is not, interesting that a big chain like that would allowed certain locations to sign up for something like that

[–] ImADifferentBird@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Looks like it's just one particular Scheels that's on there. I'd guess the franchisee is a dickhead, not the overall corporation (any more than corporations are usually dickheads anyway).

My local Scheels is not on there. In fact, relatively few local businesses are, which is surprising since I live in a pretty red state (though the city is pretty purple, and only getting bluer as time goes on).

[–] Skullgrid@lemmy.world 4 points 2 hours ago

Looks like it’s just one particular Scheels that’s on there.

time to report to corporate

[–] Azal@pawb.social 5 points 18 hours ago

Well... fuck.
