Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.

Is MAGA trying to say he didn't get booed? Even people who are deeply invested in the cult have to realize a lot of people don't like him.

[–] Cheebus@lemmy.world 81 points 2 weeks ago

The “Let’s Go Brandon” people are in denial and actually suffering from TDS?!

Nooooooooooooo

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 39 points 2 weeks ago

There’s a non insignificant portion of them that live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere and would never think about going somewhere where there are enough human beings to see a large enough sample size of opinions for anything outside their bubble to be observed.

Im more shocked that some of those cultists even knew the World Cup was happening

"A lot of libtards, commies, and towel head terrorists!"

/s

GOP has appealed to the authority of "the silent majority" for going on 100 years. Post-Evangelical churches, aka christo fascist churches, have also fostered an "us vs them" culture. The non-biblical phrase, "be in the world but no of thew world" is a staple.

"Everyone (who matters) loves trump" is easier to lie about than "the majority of people love trump" Because the latter requires quantification. But if "everyone loves the dictator" you simply can write off every exception as invalid instead of quantifying them.

The key is thought termination. Close the loop before any pesky numbers or original thoughts get in. Thats why they all have the same talking points unless you can get to them before MAGA-Steam-Media tells them what to think and they literally can't form a sentence.

Have to hit that crime stop before the tight crime takes hold.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 7 points 2 weeks ago

Are and have, every time. He was booed at FIFA and at NBA game, but he said it was "mostly cheers" despite all evidence to the contrary.

[–] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 weeks ago

Maybe. It might be better option than the recent talking points I saw on Youtube about Lord Farquaad from Shrek being a "good authortarian ruler" because he "prioritized his city" and "was deporting illegals".

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 1 points 1 week ago

That's a very small percent of the population.

Most people hate him.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Only every time he's in public.

Sometimes it's bullets, not just boos.

[–] Wizard_Pope@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

If only it were more bullets

[–] TryingToBeGood@reddthat.com 37 points 2 weeks ago

Good. As he should be wherever he goes.

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Funny how he can fail this spectacularly at an event where he wasn't even playing. Winning team, losing team, and somehow Donald Chump in third place.

[–] 2piradians@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

Ahem, England would like a word. They didn't gallivant about with the French on Saturday to share third place with Pampers+++++

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago

If only he was capable of feeling shame

[–] Thebeardedsinglemalt@lemmy.world 23 points 2 weeks ago

Guy who tried to cheat for his team and they immediately got brutally manhandled ends up getting booed hard later, then dementia-walks onto the stage to try and take the spotlight making it about himself?

I couldn't find anything specific but someone did mention he went off on one of his verbal diarrhea rambles after the US got trounced... calling it a tournament of losers and how the tourney shouldnt finish in the US?

[–] Blue_Morpho@lemmy.world 19 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Of course he got booed. Spain hates him and Venezuela fans knew the Trump curse. Trump was there for Argentina which meant Argentina would lose

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 2 points 1 week ago* (last edited 1 week ago) (1 children)

Basically everyone hates him. Especially the US citizens.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

The ones who voted for him, twice, and all the Republicans.

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 0 points 1 week ago

So like 3-30% of the population

[–] quick_snail@feddit.nl 18 points 1 week ago

He gets booed every time he's in public.

[–] NM_Gringo@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago

I wonder if the players could smell his poopy diaper?

[–] catsarebadpeople@sh.itjust.works 16 points 2 weeks ago

What a loser

[–] Danarchy@lemmy.nz 13 points 2 weeks ago

Pedophiles are not v popular

[–] DarkCloud@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

How DARE they not shoot him.

[–] TomMasz@lemmy.world 13 points 2 weeks ago

I expected nothing less.

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Dump doesn't care. Attention good or bad is still attention and that is what he wants.

Ignore the ugly fucker and you'll see him melt down.

[–] ripcord@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago

No. He really really hates negative attention. Anyone saying he is weak, etc.

[–] PlaidBaron@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

I dont even think he's mentally capable of thinking that far anymore.

[–] kreskin@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He'll just lie about it and claim he got cheered.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 week ago

"they're saying Booo-urns"

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 12 points 2 weeks ago

No one booed Lumpty Trumpty. I was there, everyone was saying Boo-rump.

[–] finley@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 weeks ago

I’m surprised they didn’t break out the defense vuvuzelas, lol

Too bad we couldn't get our Let's go Brandon out of this

[–] lennybird@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

He intends to further erode US credibility on the world stage and seeks the boos.
