Welcome to the News community!

Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller is encouraging red states to cut public funding to educational initiatives that benefit the children of undocumented migrants, according to a report.

Miller, well known as an immigration hardliner, challenged Texas Republican lawmakers during a four-hour meeting in Washington last week about why they had not already introduced a bill to that effect, according to The New York Times.

“Do we have a RINO problem in Texas?” he asked, using an acronym MAGA conservatives employ to disparage moderates within their own camp, which stands for “Republicans in Name Only.”

When this fucking Nazi dipshit doesn’t have the administration protecting him he needs to be chased out of this country.

[–] tinkermeister@lemmy.world 23 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Nah, let him stay here and try one of those fancy detention centers that he is so fond of. I’d hate to see our tax dollars go to waste.

[–] jontree255@lemmy.world 22 points 2 months ago (1 children)

He and the rest of the admin are going to try to flee the country like the Nazis did at the end of WW2 and we should be prepared to stop that or hunt them down.

We don't want your disgusting trash. Keep it to yourself, do as you please with it, but keep it in your own country.

You grew it, you handle it.

Sincerely, The rest of the planet.

[–] jontree255@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Believe me I’m not saying you have to take him in. It’s obvious no one wants him but I want him run through all the inhumane deportation practices he’s put in place so he can fucking suffer. Put him him in an ICE detention camp or CECOT. A quick death is too nice for him.

I fully expect him and Pete Hegeseth to flee to Hungary or Russia because that’s the only places that might take them.

Tarred and feathered. Some good hot tar.

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'd prefer if he had those same guns turned on him, but being exiled from the country works too, I guess.

[–] SARGE@startrek.website 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Unfortunately, plenty of other countries would take him in, but it would be nice if no country would let his ass in.

Like someone else said, it's not their mess to handle. However, I personally don't want other countries to deal with him in any way. We just kick him out and he can figure out what to do from there.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Let him establish new Atlantis.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

No he needs to be captured, tried, and made an example of.

[–] comrade_twisty@feddit.org 60 points 2 months ago (2 children)

What are children who have no say in where they are growing up and what their status is being punished for?

[–] ImgurRefugee114@reddthat.com 37 points 2 months ago

Being brown

[–] Steve@startrek.website 3 points 2 months ago

Stevie, it doesn't matter how uneducated they are. No one will ever look as much like a Dr. Evil/caveman hybrid as you do.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 20 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I absolutely could not believe when I first found out how young he is. The dude is a fucking Morlock.

[–] idiomaddict@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

I’m older than she is, but she looks like she’s got at least fifteen years on me. Being a fucking monster ages you.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Oh dude, I know. I was positively shocked when I found out she was born in the 90s.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 11 points 2 months ago

Not if their parents have anything to say about it.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

Last I checked raping them was the new fad.

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 24 points 2 months ago

“Do we have a RINO problem in Texas?” he asked, using an acronym MAGA conservatives employ to disparage moderates within their own camp,

Woah, full-on Nazi.

[–] arcine@jlai.lu 22 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Free education for every child, no questions asked.

That's how you Make America Great, For Once.

[–] some_designer_dude@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

The MAG party sounds cooler, too.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 19 points 2 months ago

TBF they are barely educating the documented children...

[–] nonentity@sh.itjust.works 18 points 2 months ago (1 children)

A healthy and broadly educated population, which feels safe and secure, is incompatible with, and toxic to, conservative and authoritarian ideologies.

They need you to be sick, stupid, and scared.

Needlessly cruel acts towards children.

Pretty on brand for this literal fascist.

[–] Blackout@fedia.io 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I just hope his end is painful. He has no understanding what makes a society work.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago

Painful AND exquisitely SLOW, please.

[–] Nastybutler@lemmy.world 16 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Miller, well known as ~~an immigration hardliner~~ a white supremacist Goebbels wannabe with a humanity deficiency

Fixed it for them.

[–] bobzilla@lemmy.world 10 points 2 months ago

So he wants to send them to public school. Got it.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Lack of education → poverty → crime → making his bullshit narrative that they're all rapists and murderers somewhat true eventually 👍

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 7 points 2 months ago

I just assume that republicans are all child molesters and rapists

Stephen Miller is giving Jonathan Banks as villain thug in Beverly Hills Cop energy.

[–] Triumph@fedia.io 7 points 2 months ago

Stephen Miller can come pay for it then. And we'll still do it anyway.

[–] hOrni@lemmy.world 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Those children are going to be really easy to radicalise.

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

[–] lemmyng@lemmy.world 5 points 2 months ago (2 children)

If he hasn't already manipulated Couchfucker Vance to do his bidding, and we all know how Nazi-lite Couchfucker Vance already is.

Did you know Couchfucker Vance fucked a couch? He's yet to deny it.

JFC, this dweeb.

Did someone brown bang Stephen Miller's girlfriend back in high school?

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 months ago

You want marauder gangs? Because that's how you get marauder gangs.

[–] workerONE@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Feel like sharing a surprising moment in California history:

In 1994 California voters voted to approve Proposition 187 (1994), known as the "Save Our State" (SOS) initiative, designed to deny public social services, healthcare, and public education to undocumented immigrants. It was ruled unconstitutional by federal courts and never enforced, but it heavily influenced California politics and triggered a major increase in citizenship and voter registration among Latinos.

[–] HobbitFoot@thelemmy.club 4 points 2 months ago

California is a lot more conservative than people think. Hell, California banned gay marriage in 2008 and has a limit on property tax increases which benefit long term owners.

There is a reason why the state supports arresting homeless people.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

What did we used to do to fascists?

opens history book

Oh yeah.
