Modest, as always, Trump felt that he owed it to the American people to finally come clean about his true, heroic activities on 9/11.

[–] limelight79@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

The firefighters can't corroborate the story because they both died of exhaustion moments later.

[–] DarrinBrunner@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

And that's why his golf game is so great. World class golf game. Plays with the best.

Well that's an old lie he was caught out on years ago. He was no where near ground zero.

He did do an interview, if which he noted that the destruction of the Twin Towers meant his property at 40 Wall Street was now the tallest building in downtown Manhattan. No remorse for the thousands who died.

So you voted for him, twice.

So you voted for him, twice.

Correction: Three times.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 day ago

he noted that the destruction of the Twin Towers meant his property at 40 Wall Street was now the tallest building in downtown Manhattan

And, since it was Trump talking, of course that was a lie.

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 4 points 1 day ago

9/11: never forget... that Trump's building got bumped up in the height ranking, yay!

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 16 points 1 day ago (2 children)

As much as he fantasizes about two hot steamy men carrying him away, that is a total lie. I've seen 600 Pound Life-- it'd take like four muscular men to carry his fat ass.

He ia very lean and has the body fat of a mma fighter. Didn't you hear?

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

i think it takes more than 4 people to carry a 600lb person, probably 6-10 strapping firemen.

https://politifact.com/article/2016/feb/22/donald-trump-was-new-york-911-contrary-2004-time-m/

According to uh, himself, he was in his apartment watching people jump. Strange he neglected to mention the firefighters at that time.

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 31 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That's because he's a lying piece of shit and half the country believes anything he says, unless it was just a joke, bro

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 114 points 2 days ago (1 children)

If this man had just gotten a fucking boyfriend when he was young the world would be a better place. He loves big strong beautiful men, we get it.

[–] return2ozma@lemmy.world 47 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Roy Cohn rejected him and he never got over it

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

That's one, but not the only possibility.

[–] ramble81@lemmy.zip 18 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Is that his getting rejected from art school moment?

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago (2 children)

business school from wharton.

[–] limelight79@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

Wharton did need an international airport.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

He did an undergrad in business, and got in because his father made a big donation to Wharton.

He's always tried to make it sound like he was in the Wharton MBA program but he didn't. And he got passing grades but those were most likely gentleman's C's because of the donation.

[–] Ariselas@piefed.ca 5 points 2 days ago

was gonna say I'm pretty sure the boyfriend was the problem

[–] JasonDJ@lemmy.zip 71 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Donny those were strippers, and that was in 1993.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

Or a coked-up encounter with the Village People sometime in the 70s.

[–] BillyClark@piefed.social 35 points 2 days ago (8 children)

Why would he tell a transparent lie like that? It's obviously a distraction, but a distraction from what?

Is it a distraction from the Epstein files, or any of Trump's countless other crimes and criminal behaviors? Obviously.

But maybe he's also specifically trying to cast himself as a victim because he was the one who set the whole thing up. Guys, I'm thinking that Trump did 9/11.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

He lies even when there's nothing in it for him. Trump and the truth are never in the same zip code.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 1 day ago

epstein files is the main reasons there are all these gaffes on MSMs, and they are complicit because most of the owners are on it too.

[–] altkey@lemmy.dbzer0.com 29 points 2 days ago (1 children)

He sees Mamdani trending in the news with 9/11 disclosure and he immediatly reacts to get the attention.

[–] kbobabob@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 days ago

This is most likely the real reason IMO

[–] Naich@piefed.world 22 points 2 days ago

Dementia. He can't tell what's real any more.

[–] vaultdweller013@sh.itjust.works 14 points 2 days ago

As another dude said it's dementia. It's a relatively common thing where as their sense of reality slips they basically start to claim absurd shit. It's sad when it happens to most people since it's generally a really bad sign of how far they've degraded, but with Trump eh fuckem.

[–] charade_you_are@sh.itjust.works 10 points 2 days ago

I'd say it's a distraction from being the worst president in American history with the midterms coming up. Epstein files are about 80% forgotten at this point.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 4 points 2 days ago

It's probably a lot of issues, like everyone else is saying, but I think the thing getting the most coverage that's going poorly for him right now is the failure of a war with Iran. Right now, I'm assuming most things are attempting to distract from that specifically.

[–] Wigners_friend@piefed.social 5 points 2 days ago

It's just what power means to someone like him. He can say what he wants and everyone has to accept it. You have no meaningful ability to hold him to account for the lie. That's power.

[–] Vandals_handle@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

In a reverse of Ghanaian tradition, we will all dance while six carry.

[–] Almacca@aussie.zone 25 points 2 days ago

Shut the fuck up, Donnie!

[–] newton@feddit.online 15 points 2 days ago

Loser, liar, deranged failed case, certainly not a human being

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago

A sack of shit could be put to use as fertilizer. Trump can't even be THAT useful.

[–] BeardededSquidward@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I can just imagine 9 people trying to carry his bloated, babbling, diaper filled ass out of his golden tower.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 day ago

probably have to use a crane to lift into a flatbed truck.

[–] D_C@sh.itjust.works 8 points 2 days ago

Hold up. If Fatboy McKiddieFiddler was near ground zero then who was molesting ivanka at Drumpf towers?

[–] plant@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I wish I was dumb enough that I believed everything and was unable to find any contradictions

[–] 1D10@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Unfortunately the people you describe are never happy, they are always mad about something.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 1 day ago

He deserves to never enjoy a moment of happiness in his fucked-up destructive life.
